The Role


As Technical Service Representative for Eastman Chemical based in the Czech Republic, you will be the technical support specialist for our customers. You have a solid knowledge base in technical service and application support for automotive glazing or thermoplastics processing. You provide onsite lamination support to our customers in the automotive (LWS) segment to ensure continued problem-free use of AMI Saflex® and XIR® products. Next to that you also provide technical assistance and will be trouble shooting the laminators’ processes where necessary. 



You can translate the specific customer demands to an actual Eastman solution and you’re able to assist our clients in the implementation. Being able to support launches of new products into the marketplace, you can not only influence Eastman’s growth but also contribute to technical innovation in general.  
You will be working together with our key customers to make sure they reach their highest potential with our products. You will build strong relationships enabling collaboration for continuous improvement and innovation. You are eager to learn, you thrive in a challenging, fast-paced environment and are constantly looking for opportunities for improvement, creating value for our customers and Eastman.


This is a very challenging role in a dynamic international environment.  Please note that in this role you will be travelling for around 50%+ of your time.

Education and Experience Requirements

⦁    A degree in Engineering, a Physical Science or related field
⦁    A strong technical background and hands-on experience in automotive glazing or thermoplastics processing
⦁    Problem solver mentality taking a structured pragmatic approach towards root cause analysis; knowledge of problem analysis and 6 Sigma methodologies is a strong plus
⦁    Excellent interpersonal skills
⦁    Good communication skills, and experience in customer interfacing technical roles is a definite plus
⦁    Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as a team member with Sales, Marketing, Technology, Manufacturing and other internal and external partners
⦁    Persuasive and demonstrated ability to champion ideas within a large organization and to lead project teams and improvement initiatives
⦁    Results oriented
⦁    Agility and proven capability to work effectively in a busy, rapidly changing multilingual, multi-cultural environment
⦁    Local language and fluency in English is required
