The Role

As Technical Service Representative for Eastman Chemical based in Europe, you will be the technical support specialist for our customers. You have a solid knowledge base in technical service and application support for filter product development. You provide onsite technical service and support for Estron™ acetate tow customers of the Eastman Fibers Business. You will also work closely with Eastman manufacturing QA to help troubleshoot and resolve product quality issues.


  • You can translate the specific customer demands to an actual Eastman solution and you’re able to assist our clients in the implementation.
  • Being able to support launches of new products into the marketplace, you can not only influence Eastman’s growth but also contribute to technical innovation in general.  
  • You will be working together with our key customers to make sure they reach their highest potential with our products.
  • You will build strong relationships enabling collaboration for continuous improvement and innovation.

  • You will work closely with Sales colleagues to help inform and support customer account strategies.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • A degree in Engineering, a Mechanical Science or related field
  • A strong technical background and hands-on experience in filter product (the latter may be helpful but not necessary)
  • Problem solver mentality taking a structured pragmatic approach towards root cause analysis; knowledge of problem analysis and 6 Sigma methodologies is a strong plus
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated communication skills, and experience in customer interfacing technical roles is a requirement.
  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as a team member with Sales, Marketing, Technology, Manufacturing, and other internal and external partners
  • Persuasive and demonstrated ability to champion ideas within a large organization and to lead project teams and improvement initiatives
  • Results oriented
  • Agility and proven capability to work effectively in a busy, rapidly changing multilingual, multi-cultural environment
  • Local language and fluency in English is required

  • High level of ethics & integrity.  
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% of the time primarily through the European region as well as Asia Pacific, South Asia, Middle East and Africa, and to Eastman manufacturing sites in US and South Korea.
