This position can be remote in The Netherlands, Belgium or Switzerland

In this exciting role, the Market Development Manager (MDM) will actively engage the market to identify trends and insights and translate these trends/insights into market plans that drive growth in the business. He/ she serves as the Marketing subject matter expert with a solid understanding of Eastman’s marketing framework with the passion and patience to coach others.  The MDM will use this marketing expertise to develop and execute market activation plans while also monitoring their effectiveness and adjusting when necessary. 


  • Makes recommendations on potential growth initiatives based on market trends and insights, as well as customer discovery
  • Draws conclusions from multiple sources to create insights that support growth projects
  • Interfaces with leverage points along the building and construction value chain to identify potential product and application opportunities
  • Develops strategic marketing plans and executing those plans while also monitoring their effectiveness and adjusting when necessary.  Plans cover market-facing initiatives and/or Stage Gate Projects
  • Leads or supports growth projects as a Marketing resource by using Stage Gate to make quality strategic choices on all initiatives; assists others as needed
  • Establishes and tracks metrics to ensure post launch efforts are contributing to segment’s strategy and performance; provides recommendation to Marketing leaders if changes are needed
  • Collaborating and communicating with all relevant stakeholders to develop and execute market activation plans
  • Works with marketing communications to define messaging and communication materials as well as provides coaching/ training to sales and other supporting functions in preparation for a new product launch
  • Networks and becomes an industry expert in assigned markets

We are looking for a dynamic marketing professional who has experience with marketing decision frameworks with an emphasis on trends and insights identification, segmentation, targeting and positioning as well as successfully executing plans that have been developed in conjunction with sales and other market facing teams.


⦁    A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or Technology 
⦁    5+ years’ experience combining strong strategic marketing skills with bias for execution 
⦁    Knowledge of the value chains of the building and construction industry.
⦁    Strong business/marketing acumen
⦁    Creative and strategic mindset, high curiosity, learning agility, acts independently 
⦁    Fluent in English with ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely.  Fluency in other languages a plus
