Responsibilities

 

Eastman Polymers Manufacturing Department is canvassing for a safety-minded individual to serve as Maintenance Coordinator for the Gaston, South Carolina (SCO) site. This is a joint venture manufacturing site and the role requires coordination and collaboration with site owner and operator, ALPEK. This is a full-time, hourly position, and may require overtime depending on production schedule, maintenance items and other business needs.  Typical work schedule will be Monday through Friday, day shift. Key Responsibilities

  • Hold safety as the top priority
  • Serve as Safe Work Process Steward
  • Maintain and update the Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) packages for the area
  • Facilitate the development and routing of new and updated LOTO packages with ALPEK resources for standard maintenance and larger capital projects
  • Troubleshoot LOTO setup with operations and execution forces, as needed
  • Be a steward for daily maintenance work for the area
  • Serve as key contributor in weekly Maintenance planning and scheduling meetings
  • Coordinate critical planned and unplanned maintenance needs and priorities with ALPEK maintenance planners. Interface with Eastman and ALPEK resources to understand timing constraints.
  • Partner with ALPEK and Operations to align on priority of maintenance jobs in backlog
  • Complete weekly housekeeping audits
  • Coordination of Bill of Materials for area equipment and assist with Spare Parts management
  • Assist in development of Operations procedures
  • Interact with various groups (Construction Management, Maintenance, Utilities, etc). Be Eastman point contact for maintenance questions from these other groups and assist in driving jobs to completion.
  • Completion of Job Site reviews with execution forces, focused on safety
  • Be a steward for Mechanical and Asset Integrity Programs
  • Ensure asset integrity inspections are completed on time and submit extension requests, as needed
  • Coordinate inspections with 3rd party inspectors, including coordinating site access 
  • Ensure transfer of inspection results, action items and completion data from 3rd party system into Eastman’s GE-APM system
  • Key contributor in Turnaround scope development, planning and LOTO package preparation

Qualifications

 

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience in an Operations or Maintenance capacity required
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Dependable
  • Must exhibit ownership and a bias for action to assigned area of responsibility
  • Must have desire to be hands-on in a manufacturing plant environment
