Manufacturing Clerk

The Manufacturing Clerk’s core duties and responsibilities primarily revolve around supporting the Texas City Manufacturing Organization.  The job duties can vary widely from day to day depending on the given tasks, though typical duties are noted below.

The Manufacturing clerk will also collaborate with other clerks and will at times be called on to support personnel and management outside the Manufacturing Organization.

Typical Duties:

Typical duties will include, but not be limited to, the following:

 

  • Support Manufacturing Leadership Team administrative projects
  • BPCI visitor training and site access
  • Manage SharePoint access and modify/create SharePoint libraries/lists/sites
  • Perform document control activities for procedures and manage SharePoint copies/updates
  • Manage physical copies of emergency procedures in control room
  • Issue quarterly reports on procedure status
  • Training Records documentation
  • Employee Onboarding scheduling
  • MyLearning Lab assignments to new employees
  • Develop new MyLearning Lab segments (Storyline) as needed by Manufacturing
  • Maintain department refresher OJT training process (in development)
  • Assist MOC Coordinator in tracking MOC approvals and action items
  • Issue monthly reports or notifications as needed for MOC tracking
  • Create annual and as-needed purchase orders for Manufacturing
  • Manage office supply inventory in control room
  • Create/maintain checklists and manage records of completed monthly checklists
  • Update Manufacturing metrics spreadsheet monthly
  • Collect Offsite Water Data log sheets and perform data entry for Environmental Records
  • Issue Gulf Coat Water Authority Monthly Reports
  • Issue Gulf Coast Water Annual Water Usage Reports
  • Issue City of Texas City Annual Water Usage Reports
  • Issue TCEQ Quarterly Reports
  • Manage production accounting and Inventory data and support end-of-month closing
  • Provide calendaring assistance
  • Organize anniversary and other celebrations
  • Coordinate working lunches, organize/order food for shutdowns

Essential Functions:

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

 

  • Perform assignments independently with only general direction
  • Ability to work with others and in team settings
  • Issue reports in a timely manner, ability to meet deadlines
  • Identify, troubleshoot and correct inaccuracies/problems in reports
  • Communicate effectively with all personnel, both verbally and in writing
  • Organize and manage projects
  • Ability to follow all safety, environmental, and company rules and policies
  • Ability to pass background check for Transportation Workers Identification Credential qualification
     

Experience/Education:

 

  • High School Diploma or GED

 

Skills and Special Requirements:

 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • A broad knowledge of SharePoint and SAP
  • Time management skills
