Performance Film Business

 

With over 60 years of experience, Eastman Performance Films are world leaders in the manufacture and supply of high-performance Window Films and Paint Protection Films for automotive and architectural applications. 
Eastman Performance Films takes its window film and paint protection films to market through distinct channels.  One is a nationwide network of independent dealers that install automotive window film, architectural window film and/or paint protection film. This other channel is the network of automobile dealership across the country.  Your knowledge and previous experience with automotive aftermarket channel marketing strategies are desirable but other B2B2C experience can be leveraged for this exciting position. Role Profile:

 

The Market Development Manager (MDM) is responsible for the project management & execution strategy primarily for market-facing initiatives, building a better brand experience across the customer value chain. In this exciting and creative role, the main objective is to drive and maintain growth in assigned market segments developing national programs that create and deliver improved value to our business partners.  The MDM will partner with product and sales teams to develop and evaluate innovation concepts and will serve as the Marketing subject matter expert on  various stage-gate projects from product/service concept to market activation planning to post-launch assessment.  

The MDM will develop a deep understanding of sustainability needs among our customers, driving solutions in this area consistent with Eastman’s commitment to sustainability. The MDM will also contribute to the development and execution of market segment plans while also monitoring their effectiveness and adjusting when necessary, while serving as an expert on Eastman’s stage-gate process and coaches other Market Development Managers.

Responsibilities

 

  • Contributes to the development of Addressable Market Maps and offers through segment cross-functional teams.
  • Responsible for determining best path for specific initiatives surfaced from market strategy work, developing the plans for execution, executing the plan (either directly or indirectly) and monitoring its effectiveness.
  • Leads or supports growth projects as a Marketing resource by using Eastman’s stage-gate process to make quality strategic choices on all initiatives; assists others as needed.
  • Establishes and tracks metrics to ensure post launch efforts are contributing to segment’s strategy and performance; provides recommendation to Marketing leaders if changes are needed.
  • Creates understanding of value of Eastman offerings vs. alternatives by developing Economic Value Estimates (EVE™) with Product Manager and Technology.
  • Develops transition plans and materials as well as provides coaching to Sales and other supporting functions in preparation for a new product launch.
  • Interfaces with leverage points through the value change to identify potential product and application opportunities and shares those with the segment teams.
     

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in technical or marketing discipline is required. MBA degree preferred.
  • 5+ years prior experience in sales, product management, marketing or relevant technical roles preferred.
  • Must have had a customer facing role or other commercial experience prior to this role.
