Eastman Chemical Company is seeking a Market Development Manager in St. Louis, MO.

 

Summary of Duties:  Responsible for the execution of strategy for market-facing initiatives to drive and maintain growth in assigned market segments. Collaborate and communicate with relevant stakeholders within the assigned market segment. Identify new business from market development and innovation. Responsible for determining the best path for specific initiatives surfaced from market strategy work, developing the plans for execution, executing the plan (either directly or indirectly), and monitoring its effectiveness. Lead and support growth projects as a Marketing resource by using the EBME framework to make quality strategic choices on all initiatives. Establish and track metrics to ensure post launch efforts are contributing to the segment’s strategy and performance. Provide recommendations to Marketing leaders if changes are needed. Enter new opportunities for initiatives into Leads Management (SFDC) so that leads can be properly managed and tracked as they are passed on to Sales teams. Make recommendations on potential growth initiatives in the market based on market trends and insights, as well as customer discovery. Develop transition plans and materials, and provide coaching to Sales and other supporting functions in preparation for new product launches. Communicate offers that tie to initiatives, including new, existing, and revised offers. Draw conclusions from multiple sources to create insights that support growth projects. Network and become an industry expert in assigned markets. Interface with leverage points through the value change to identify potential product and application opportunities.

 

Qualifications:              Position requires a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or closely related field of study and  one (1) year of experience in the job offered or as a Communications Manager, Practicum Consultant, Brand Management Intern, or role related to marketing management. Alternately, will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or closely related field of study, and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as a Communications Manager, Practicum Consultant, Brand Management Intern, or role related to marketing management. Position also requires one (1) year of experience with content development or content planning for online and print media for consumer facing products or programs. Requires any amount of experience with the following: qualitative and quantitative business research to develop channel growth strategy for the automotive aftermarket industry; leading cross-functional teams for product and program innovation projects for the automotive aftermarket industry; working directly with company c-suite executives; MS Flow, Teamwork and MS Teams software; creating project status and performance reports using Microsoft Office Suite; website and email marketing; and experience with Javascript.
