Quality Systems Representative

Responsibilities
- Strong commitment to “Zero Incident Mindset” principles throughout the Quality Organization
- Partner with various cross-functional departments to address customer and market trends and/or complaints, and to improve customer satisfaction and quality awareness. This includes leading investigations of customer complaints and feedback cases, facilitating root cause analyses, coordinating containment activities, and managing the corrective and preventative action process. This also includes supporting customer quality requirements such as PPAPs, DTLD compliance activities, hosting customer audits and supporting supplier performance reviews.
- Identify root causes of internal and external opportunities. Effectively utilize operational excellence and statistical tools where applicable to implement and ensure that corrective actions from such investigations are effective. This includes tracking actions, facilitating follow-up activities, verifying effectiveness, and maintaining compliance records.
- Ensure compliance with ISO/IATF Quality Systems including planning and conducting internal quality, product and process audits followed by identifying trends and working on improvement actions. This includes leading monthly manufacutirng layered process audits, tracking action items, and partnering with operations and maintenance teams on improvements items.
- Responsible for site-wide quality, operational excellence and continuous improvements initiatives, including maintaining and improving Quality Management System (QMS) documentation, procedures, FMEAs, Control Plans, workflows, and approval records.
- Utilize effective collaboration and relationship building skills to support trusting, highly motivated and cohesive team environment including effective reinforcement of team members.
- Develop, implement, and maintain practices and policies that assure raw materials, in-process and finished materials meet quality specifications and customer expectations.
- Provide analytical support to Manufacturing and to other functions as needed. This includes where necessary developing, implementing, and assisting in training of new or improved test methods.
- Provide QC Lab on-call and backup coverage
- Contribute to best practice efforts across all sheet and resin QC and plants by proactively partnering with Worldwide AMI Quality
- Drive continuous improvement and quality system automation initiatives that enhance efficiency, data visibility and process effectiveness
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry or Science required
- At least 3 years’ experience in quality, lab or manufacturing setting required
- Experience working within ISO 9001 environment required
- IATF 16949 experience preferred
- Experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Systems, Manufacturing Quality, or Continuous Improvement
- Experience with CAPA systems, audits, root cause analysis, and quality systems preferred
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
- High degree of initiative and ability to plan, prioritize, and work with minimal supervision in a hands-on environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
- Excellent technical/process/innovation and analytical/statistical/troubleshooting skills
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills
- Ability to lead investigations and facilitate cross-functional teams
- Ability to contribute effectively as an individual and within a team building a strong teamwork
- Demonstrates excellent behaviors in adaptability, organization, prioritization, detail orientation, multi-tasking, and bias for action
- Solid analytical method development skills with prior laboratory experience preferred
- Six Sigma/Lean/Operational Excellence/Continuous Improvement experience is preferred
- CQA or CQE preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Labware and SAP experience preferred

The base salary range for this position is $88,000 - $121,000.
