Responsibilities

Solutia, Inc., a subsidiary of Eastman Chemical Company has an immediate opening for a Human Resources Specialist at its Indian Orchard, MA site. The HR Specialist provides multi-site support in execution of major HR processes including, but not limited to: Payroll Administration, Employee Data Management, Employee Relations, HR Reporting and Metrics

 

Talent Management
•    Provide multi-site support for the Recruiting & Staffing processes 
•    Coordinate college recruitment programs, including university relations, on-campus and on-site interviews and selection
•    Prepare, communicate, initiate, and process new hire information, terminations and progress reviews 
•    Support on-boarding programs for new hires, internal transfers and other key positions

 

Employee Relations
•    Facilitate Indian Orchard leave of absence claims
•    Analyze and report absenteeism and support disciplinary processes
•    Support administration for annual incentives and merit increases
•    Ownership and processing of reward and recognition programs 
•    Publish and distribute site communications, including newsletters and other internal communications
•    Ensure compliance with pertinent policies and procedures and other regulatory requirements

 

Business Support
•    Responsible for processing timekeeping for Exempt and Non-Exempt Team Members
•    Data management and administration activities to ensure support and execution of HR processes
•    Produce reports utilizing SAP upon request from Human Resources Manager
•    Manage and supply data for internal and external metrics/reporting requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or Human Resources preferred
  • Previous Human Resources experience in a unionized organization preferred
  • General computer experience with knowledge of Microsoft software packages, SharePoint applications and SAP a plus
  • Ability to contribute individually and in a team environment
  • Ability to interact with multiple levels of the organization
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills / strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, ability to handle multiple priorities
  • High degree of initiative

Note:

The base salary range for this position is $64,000 to $88,000. ​
