E/I Systems Specialist

Responsibilities

• Safely perform general electrical and instrumentation tasks, including repairs, modifications, troubleshooting, calibrations and inspections

• Maintaining or repairing equipment such as plant lighting, PLC’s, transformers, control valves, and instrumentation associated with plant equipment

• Perform tests, calibrations and repair/replace components as part of troubleshooting equipment operational problems

• Ability to read schematics, P&ID’s and equipment manuals for complex equipment and machinery

• Installing wiring, conduit, electric motors, camera systems, electronic instruments, and PLC’s within guidelines of the NEC and NFPA-70E

• Disassemble, inspect, troubleshoot and repair equipment or perform preventative maintenance on motor control centers and substation distribution equipment

• Thoroughly perform all ISO related calibrations and related documentation

• Perform other advanced tasks involving Thermography, Interlock Testing, and PLC’s

• And all other tasks assigned 

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required

• MA Licensed Electrician required

• Minimum of 5 years of experience performing electrical, instrumentation and/or HVAC in industrial field is desired

• Experience with low and medium voltage Power Distribution equipment is a plus

• Knowledge of PLC programming and DCS systems is a plus

• Strong aptitude for trouble-shooting and problem solving

• Ability to work independently and collaborate well with others is required

• A strong commitment to working safely and to the safety of others
