Mechanical Integrity Technologist

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the site lead for Mechanical Integrity in compliance with our corporate Process Safety Policy requirements and OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM)
  • Oversee the sites OSHA PSM Mechanical Integrity Inspection program and maintain verifiable records and documentation for a variety of tanks, vessels and piping within Manufacturing
  • Manage the sitewide Vibration Analysis Condition Monitoring program and record keeping
  • Manage the sitewide Oil Analysis program, oil sampling and equipment records
  • Provide technical expertise on small capital and expenses projects
  • Assist on equipment troubleshooting and monitoring of equipment during abnormal conditions
  • Provide input on equipment failure analysis, metallurgy, or non-destructive testing



  • HS Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in a manufacturing plant
  • Certifications (1 or more of the following certifications strongly desired) 
    • API 510 - Pressure Vessel Inspector including ASME pressure vessel repair requirements and understanding of the National Board Inspection Code (NBIC)
    • API 653 - Above Ground Storage Tank Inspector
    • API 570 - Piping Inspector including ASME B31.3 piping requirements, ASME section V and IX for welded repairs
    • American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT)
      • NDT Visual Inspection Level II
      • Liquid Penetrant Testing Level II
      • Ultrasonic Testing Level I
    • Vibration Analysis Level II
    • American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) Magnetic Particle Testing
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting background
  • Root Cause Analysis
  • Experience with large rotating equipment
  • Familiarity with OSHA’s Process Safety Management (PSM) regulation is desired. 
  • Good planning and organization skills.
  • Clear and effective oral and written communication is essential.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to manage multiple tasks at a time.
  • General computer experience with knowledge of Microsoft software packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint applications and SAP a plus.
