Technical Service Representative, based in Singapore
Responsibilities
POSITION PURPOSE
The incumbent is responsible for providing technical support to sales and marketing teams in addressing end customer enquiries on product applications in the automotive, architectural and marine segments. In addition, he is responsible for providing hands on installation and technical training support to customers. He or she must also develop a deep technical understanding of the customers’ applications, work processes and work with internal teams to improve product quality and applications.
The incumbent must be capable of working in a matrix environment, working closely with Sales, Marketing and Operations to ensure successful development of all strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support
• Develop and conduct technical, product training for customers and staff
• Conduct hands on installation training for PF products (i.e. paint protection/ window/ decorative film etc.)
• Address technical questions on film installation for both internal and external customers
• Support technical enquires from local and overseas customers
• Operate analytical lab equipment (i.e.. UV-VIS-IR, FTIR, etc.) to generate solar / optical performance data and conduct energy audits, energy savings monitoring and calculations from application of window film products.
• Develop and improve existing SOP for product applications
• Maintain superior product knowledge and competitor information
• Provide product application, regulatory, technology support on automotive and architectural projects.
Quality
• Provide internal quality expertise for all incoming quality inspections
• Address quality issues field complaints from customers’ feedback
• Work on product specifications, quality improvements, warranty claims for existing and new products
• Qualification of new products through prototype development and evaluation, incoming quality evaluation
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENT
Required Degree / Education:
• Degree in Science or Engineering
Preferred Qualifications:
• Basic or advanced Solar Control Film Specialist Accreditation by IWFA or
• Basic Automotive Film Specialist Accreditation by IWFA or
• Basic Safety & Security Film Specialist Accreditation by IWFA
Required Skills/Knowledge:
• Experience in training and demonstrating product applications to end customers
• Experience in quality systems management, supplier management and/or customer support
• Excellent inter-personal skills with demonstrated success working with cross-functional teams, including internal and external stakeholders at all levels
• Good written and presentation skills, hands on, effectively bilingual
Required Experience:
• 8 to 10 years of relevant experience, preferably from the automotive or architectural industry
