Market Development Manager (based in Singapore)
Responsibilities
Eastman’s Performance Films’ Business houses consumer brands such as LLumar, V-KOOL, Huper Optik, Suntek. They are in a rapid, exciting growth phase. The marketing development manager would have the opportunity to work in a dynamic, energetic environment with a passionate, visionary team who seek to transform the auto film industry to a next high level.
The Market Development Manager is responsible for developing and leading the execution of projects that identify new opportunities for our sustainable solutions. The incumbent must be able to communicate the strategy, align and motivate cross-functional teams, and remove internal and external barriers to accelerate activation of Eastman’s circular technologies and solutions. To accomplish this, the incumbent will convert insights into opportunities and exhibit bias for action that will maintain a sense of urgency across their team and drive behavior change across the value chain and functional discipline to lead customers and markets to a more sustainable future.
KEY RESPOSBILITIES
- Translate business strategy into clear market targets, priorities and annual sales/action plans.
- Conduct market and sustainability research and external engagement to identify new opportunities and customer value propositions.
- Map target markets and value chains (geographies, segments, stakeholders, channels, regulators) and develop prospect/priority account lists.
- Segment and prioritize opportunities by customer need, value potential, channel access and adoption readiness.
- Define go-to-market strategies and “where to play/how to win” plans (positioning, value proposition, partner model, pricing, financial case and roadmap).
- Design commercial offers and market activation plans that accelerate adoption and optimize value capture.
- Work with product, technology and regulatory teams to adapt capabilities and run cross-functional validation pilots to de-risk scale-up.
- Select and enable partners—create partner criteria, pilot plans, sales enablement materials and partner-sourced growth approaches.
- Support and align marketing, brand and distributor activities (digital and traditional) to launch offers, drive traffic and measure performance.
- Measure and report market development KPIs (validated opportunities, pipeline value, time-to-first-sale, partner revenue, etc.) and iterate strategies based on results.
Qualifications
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in marketing & project management discipline is required. MBA degree preferred
- Minimum 10 years prior experience in sales, marketing, product management or relevant roles
- Must have had a customer facing role or other commercial experience prior to this role
- Proven communications, project management and relationship-building skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Spoken foreign language is a bonus.
