Sourcing Manager, Asia Pacific

Responsibilities

The Sourcing Manager leads the regional sourcing activities for assigned products of spending, with the goal of developing deep market insights, achieving progressive TCO reductions while maintaining/improving product quality and supplier service levels and taking care of Cash Flow improvements in Asia Pacific.  In doing so you facilitate and lead cross-functional teams with key stakeholders in member organizations and in corporate functions by applying 4-step procurement framework to assigned products and driving all aspect of strategic and tactic procurement efforts. You assess product and supplier risks and develop and implement mitigation plans in line with business needs.  More-over you provide market insight to commercial or functional teams around supply, demand, forecast and pricing trend in raw material markets. 
Other responsibilities include 
•    Interface with key business and functional partners (including Global Direct Category Managers and Business team) to ensure alignment of strategies with business needs
•    Develop and maintain deep market insights to provide insights to Global Category managers and Commercial Teams around supply, demand, and pricing trends in material markets to support decision making.
•    Work with Global category manager to develop and implement category strategy and of strategies through the sourcing process for specific spend areas to capture real savings.
•    Work with Direct sourcing team to support Business Growth / Innovation project related to Asia Pacific
•    Build and manage regional level Supplier Relationships, Performance, Risks and Contracting based on Sourcing Strategy and Business needs
•    Negotiate and execute supply contracts in line with the product and category strategies
•    Drive annual productivity improvements, measure and track internal performance within in each assigned product.
•    Develops and maintains good working relationships, including partnerships, with key raw material suppliers to the manufacturing sites.
•    Forecast raw material pricing as needed
•    Drives best practices.
•    Upholds internal and external policies, regulations and laws.
•    Ensures compliance with Eastman’s corporate and Global Sourcing processes.

This role requires the ability to think strategically and execute methodically. You have a passion for reducing cost and possess strong negotiation, analytical, project management, change management and problem-solving skills with a strong bias for action. The successful candidate is not afraid to challenge the status quo and is likely to have approx. 5-8 years successful track-record in Procurement or other Commercial roles, preferably within the Chemicals, FMCG or Automotive industry. 
A minimum of bachelor’s degree from an internationally recognized university in combination with an MBA or Technical degree would be preferred for this role
