Responsibilities

Role Description
Responsible for the execution of strategy for market-facing initiatives to drive and sustain growth in assigned market segments. Develops and executes market segment plans while also monitoring their effectiveness and adjusting when necessary. Serves as an expert on EBME framework and coaches other Market Development Managers. 

Responsibilities
Manages Stage-Gate projects through completion and/or serves as Marketing subject matter expert as needed. Effectively collaborates and communicates with all relevant stakeholders within assigned market segment.
Contributes to the development of Addressable Market Maps and offers through segment cross-functional teams
Responsible for determining best path for specific initiatives surfaced from market strategy work, developing the plans for execution, executes the plan (either directly or indirectly) and monitoring its effectiveness
Leads or supports growth projects as a Marketing resource by using the EBME framework to make quality strategic choices on all initiatives; assists others as needed
Establishes and tracks metrics to ensure post launch efforts are contributing to segment’s strategy and performance; provides recommendation to Marketing leaders if changes are needed
Creates understanding of value of Eastman offerings vs. alternatives by developing Economic Value Estimates (EVE™) with Product Manager and Technology
Develops transition plans and materials as well as provides coaching to Sales and other supporting functions in preparation for a new product launch
Interfaces with leverage points through the value change to identify potential product and application opportunities and shares those with the segment teams
Translate business strategy into sales targets, priorities and action plans to deliver year-over-year
Develop and lead the execution of market strategies and stage gate projects to launch Eastman’s sustainable technologies and solutions;
Identify sustainability insights through broad external engagement and well-designed market research projects to uncover new opportunities and activate customers and markets
Work collaboratively with the technology team to adapt technologies and capabilities necessary to activate new markets and uncover new sustainability value propositions
Design commercial offers that both accelerate market adoption and optimize value creation and capture.
Define and launch market activation plans that achieve the goals of the market strategies

Qualifications

Required Education and / or Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in technical or marketing discipline is required. MBA degree preferred
5+ years prior experience in sales, product management, marketing or relevant technical roles preferred
Must have had a customer facing role or other commercial experience prior to this role
