Position Purpose:


The Regional Supply Chain Director ensures regional execution of global strategies. This role is responsible for leading the regional Supply Chain organization to ensure business alignment and results and to provide effective global support for GSC & Logistics. This position is responsible for talent management and organizational efficiency and building capability in Supply Chain Processes.

The Regional Supply Chain Director serves as a facilitator for organizational change and culture deployment.




Job Responsibilities:


  • Leads an effective regional Supply Chain Leadership team
  • Ensures global strategies/initiatives are regionally executed as deployed by global Supply Chain Business Leads, Logistics and Center of Excellence.
  • Represents Supply Chain on Regional Leadership Teams and drives alignment with regionally driven initiatives (driven by Regional Leadership Team)
  • Serves as a focal point for the Supply Chain in the region & manages the matrix of reporting lines and a strong advocate for regional or local needs. Provides thought leadership for regional issues that impact business results and escalates appropriately
  • Provides leadership and acts as a change agent to facilitate transitions or drive regional programs or initiatives
  • Leads supply chain projects that impact multiple businesses or has significant impact for the region. Supports prioritization and alignment of resources for regional COE opportunities / needs. Drives regional Customer Service initiatives that support functional & business strategies
  • Collaborates with regional procurement leadership to provide regional integration of Supply Chain and Procurement. Has strong connect to regional Logistics Manager and serves as representative of regional Supply Chain when appropriate with 3rd party providers
  • Develops strong linkage with regional business leadership and understands business strategies (across all businesses) to facilitate regional execution
  • Provides regional leadership and support for M&A diligence and integration efforts
  • Develops regional metrics that align with GSC and business metrics that are actionable, meaningful and useful, removes regional barriers to productivity or other results.
  • Communicates GSC organizational results across the region
  • Drives talent management process to ensure capabilities are available for regional success (succession planning, talent development, capability build, pipeline, university/external partnerships, etc.)
  • Links with Government Affairs regarding regional advocacy issues.
  • Provides leadership and support on supply chain disruptions
  • Approves commercial commitments



Knowledge and Skill Requirements (To include education and experience):


  • A minimum of 15 years' experience with 10 years in managerial position in supply chain and distribution.
  • Strong Asia Pacific regional leadership experience including strategy planning, organizational development and team management. Ability to manage & influence stakeholders and drive for results in a matrix organization.
  • Deep knowledge in supply chain, logistics and planning processes required. Experience in digitization is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to lead and drive changes.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese
  • International experience including education or working experience is preferred

  • Around 20% in AP region
