Key Responsibilities:
1. Work closely with key stakeholders to implement overall PF Product strategy and meet business objectives for Asia Pacific Region.

2. Regionally lead the development of product portfolios which align with the market segment plans, brand positioning strategy and channel strategy in Asia Pacific
a. Priorities should be established by country, brand and channel to align with regional business goals.
b. Lead the development of product family strategies in the region.
c. Be the GoTo person for product selection based on customer/deal decisions.

3. Jointly initiate product development project proposals with Commercial, Marketing and TS, be the center of coordination of product development projects in Asia Pacific, and generally be the regional go to person for what is going on with new products.

4. Guide and assist AP commercial teams to identify Product Portfolio needs and make product recommendation for:
a. Individual Offerings
b. KA Product Offerings
c. Bid Packages
d. Marketing programs

5. Proactively work on future bid offerings to provide a product offering roadmap for each major customer considering margin optimization, and current channel dynamics.

6. Coordinate product claim development for the different channels and markets with the marketing team, commercial, and the global development team in the US.

7. Assist sales teams in project pitches and insight gathering. 

8. Drive margin optimization, with the Price & Business Enablement representatives, by actively assessing product variable margin & earnings positioning, participating in 4 box discussions and communicating product portfolio weaknesses and strengths to the pricing and commercial teams

9. Use competitive product data to identify gaps in PF Product Portfolio and suggest products to fill gaps.

10. Provide situational/competitive regional context to enable the Product Mgmt director to set regional pricing floors and ceilings for existing products.

11. Provide regional information to global product management to enable strategic and effective Make vs Buy decision for 3rd party sourcing

12. Be the regional communication coordinator about asset utilization, allocation choices, and product change initiatives.


Required Degree / Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university required.
• MBA or advanced degree preferred.  Degree in Chemistry, Material Sciences, or Engineering a plus.   
• Experience in Product Placement or Product Management desired

Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

• At least 5 years of business, manufacturing, product, or technical experience, of which 2 years should be in a customer facing role
• Good organization skills, ability to manage several key objectives at the same time
• Strong computer skills and efficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP experience preferred.
• Excellent inter-personal skills with demonstrated success working with cross-functional teams, including internal and external stakeholders at all levels
• Ability to lead projects and to contribute effectively as an individual and within a team
• Experience managing up, down and across the organization.
• Should have high energy with strong initiative and self-motivation
• Demonstrated ability to effectively maneuver through complex situations, and be a change-agent for the organization.
• Good written and oral presentation skills
• Exceptionally bilingual (English and Chinese), with a very good understanding of both cultures
• Data manipulation and analytics
• Develops the financial value case/entitlement for segment plans and tactics
• Manage execution of strategy through and with others
• Ability to balance strategy with the detail of day to day to execute high-quality choices quickly
• Desire to collaborate with other functions to ensure that decisions taken consider the implications across market segments, businesses and value streams
