Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

This individual should be capable of leading infrastructure development, maintenance, and enhancement efforts. Operates autonomously and without close supervision on many activities. Typically requires at least 3 years of relevant experience and a good working knowledge of the associated environment and architecture. Competent in multiple technologies used within the team and capable of quickly coming up to speed on new technologies.  Proficient in working with partners to gather and clarify requirements and communicate progress.

 

• Designs, implements, maintains, and troubleshoots IT infrastructure hardware and software systems

• Manages day-to-day global infrastructure environment including documentation and training necessary to allow 24/7 operations personnel to deal with most common issues

• Provides significant input into architecting new infrastructure services and connectivity as required to meet changing business needs

• Leads minimally complex projects including the design, justification, and implementation of new capabilities

• Uses analysis tools to understand and improve the performance/functionality of specific systems

• Uses proper security mechanisms to protect the infrastructure landscape from internal and external threats to protect the network and data assets of the company

 

Qualifications

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES

• Possess a good understanding of computing, networking, and/or telephony environments

• In-depth understanding and experience with one or more relevant technologies    

• Ability to communicate appropriately with persons supporting infrastructure and with consumers of infrastructure services

• Language skills:  Fluent Portuguese and English required.  

• Proven problem analysis and problem-solving skills

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION

•  B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering or related field from accredited college or university

 

EXPERIENCE

• Must have experience with the following:

• Desktop support include familiarization with Windows OS and hardware

•  Network Administration including switch configuration with VLANs and routing

 

 

•  Operational and Security Support of Data Centers

•  Scripting languages

•  Layer 1 Network Troubleshooting (cabling) including copper and fiber

Experience with the following are a plus:

•  Server Support including Windows OS and hardware

•  Security cameras and Video Management Systems

•  Telephone Systems including VoIP and Analog

•  Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity Planning

  • Working location: São Paulo, SP.
  • Working model: Office-based 4 days per week; remote work on Fridays.
