About this role:

HSES Representative

Define and implement measures to ensure the integrity of the company's personnel and assets, through compliance with the local and global policies that Solutia Inc. has determined for this purpose. As well as all those established by national and international authorities that impact issues related to Safety, Ecology, Health and Industrial Protection.

  • Ensure that the company complies with each and every one of the applicable requirements regarding safety, ecology and occupational health. Allowing employees to carry out their activities in an appropriate environment, according to established standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all those activities that give certainty to the company that the plant's operations and facilities comply with the regulations established by the agencies in charge (STPS, SSA, CNA, IMSS, SEMARNAT) of safety and ecology.
  • Ensure the operation of the Safety and Hygiene Commission, in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Labor Law and other existing regulations, which allows us to have a body that monitors compliance with regulations related to ecology, safety and hygiene. in the workplace.
  • Identify and evaluate environmental aspects, impacts, risks and opportunities in your processes/areas.
  • Supervise operational controls applicable to the environmental aspects of its personnel to control, prevent and/or mitigate environmental impacts.
  • Execute and participate in activities when required by the rules of the Environmental Management System (as stipulated in its documents), your immediate boss, HSES personnel and the Site Manager and/or, where appropriate, support your peers when it is necessary. requested their support to obtain environmental achievements in other processes (in activities and/or programs approved by the Site manager).
  • Lead the investigation of non-conformities and/or environmental incidents in your process/area.
  • Monitoring of requirements regarding safety, emergency control, and health in accordance with the requirements of the EMS and processes, as well as proposals for improvement actions.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental, Industrial Engineering or similar.
  • Master in Safety, Ecology and Health (Desirable)
  • Diploma in Environmental Matters, Diploma in Safety (Desirable)
  • Experience: More than 3 years in the area of Safety, Ecology and Industrial Health
