Role Profile

The EMEA Supply Chain Manager (SCM) is aligned with the Tire Additives (TA) business and is responsible for Customer Service, Supply and/or Distribution Planning from regional- and global manufacturing locations and Product Support Services.  You will provide effective guidance and coaching to two direct reports while reporting to the Global Supply Chain Director based in Kingsport, TN. As part of the EMEA Supply Chain Management Team, the European Operations Team, you work closely with the other EMEA Supply Chain Managers and the Director Supply Chain Operations for EMEA/AP.

 

This is a hands-on position responsible for continual analysis and developing plans that will enable TA to meet business strategies. Close coordination and cooperation with Demand Managers, Business Leadership Team and other Eastman Functional groups such as Customer Service, Logistics, Manufacturing, Finance and Trade Customs are required. 

 

Functional Activities/ Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the short-term planning of 2 manufacturing sites in EMEA which produce Anti-degradants (Antwerp) and Insoluble Sulfur (Nienburg)
  • Accountable for managing inventory for imported products into EMEA to service TA customers
  • Responsible for ensuring good customer service by ensuring sufficient stock, effective distribution network, on time delivery and responsiveness to customer feedback
  • Provide insights and recommendations and advocate to meet EMEA regional needs in several cross-functional teams, including the Global Tire Additives Supply Chain Leadership team, the Global Supply Planning meetings, Winning with Customer Action Reviews
  • Oversees the Supply Chain network in EMEA, finds opportunities for improvement and recommends changes that will improve customer service and/or reduce waste
  • Works closely with the Adhesives stream to provide seamless supply of Tire Resins to TA customers
  • Understands and ensures the supply chain is compliant with Reach and Sarbanes-Oxley regulations
  • Ensures the greater EMEA team understands and are supporting TA strategic plan and key initiatives while ensuring the team is resourced adequately to support the growth of the TA business and/or improve productivity
  • Member of the EMEA Supply Chain Leadership Team and works collaboratively to acquire, develop and grow talent
  • Act as a role model for safety and wellness and ensures team is fully engaged in a Zero Accident Mindset and Culture

 
Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in supply chain, Business or Science
  • At least 5 years of experience in Supply Chain operations within a manufacturing/ production environment
  • APICS and or Six Sigma certification is preferred
  • Prior experience and ability to work in a fast-paced environment within a matrix organization
