The Role

 

The Logistics Sourcing Manager will support two senior logistics sourcing managers in executing strategic sourcing initiatives across multiple logistics categories within the EMEA region. This role bridges tactical and strategic sourcing activities, providing hands-on support in category management, supplier negotiations, contract administration, and procurement operations. You will develop market insights, drive cost reductions and operational improvements, and help ensure supplier service levels while maintaining compliance with Eastman's procurement standards and sustainability objectives. This position offers excellent exposure to strategic sourcing while building expertise in logistics services procurement across transportation, warehousing, terminals, and related logistics modes.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Support the development and execution of regional sourcing strategies aligned with logistics objectives and business requirements.
  • Assist senior managers across the full tender lifecycle, including preparation, execution, analysis, and award.
  • Lead or co-lead logistics tenders and strategic sourcing initiatives for assigned categories.
  • Support regional procurement activities, including specification development, supplier negotiations, and contract administration.
  • Contribute to commercial leverage initiatives to improve market value and cost-to-serve performance.
  • Develop market intelligence and competitive analyses to support category strategies and identify cost savings.
  • Manage strategic supplier relationships for assigned categories and support larger contracts led by senior managers.
  • Support supplier evaluation, risk assessment, and mitigation planning.
  • Administer contracts, including drafting support, approval coordination, rate updates, and compliance with Icertis requirements.
  • Own the logistics tender tool and maintain best practice documentation and tender materials.
  • Support quality assurance activities to ensure logistics services meet required quality and compliance standards.
  • Collect and analyze data to support RFPs, bid evaluations, and business case development.
  • Conduct strategic analyses to identify synergies, cost reduction opportunities, and network optimization benefits.
  • Support logistics modeling, simulation, and footprint development to capture cross-business value.
  • Lead supplier meetings and maintain strong communication with key stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with business needs.
  • Support sustainable procurement, risk management, HSE compliance, and new vendor qualification.
  • Participate in logistics procurement projects and working groups, and support escalation of performance issues as needed.
  • Maintain accurate data in SAP, SharePoint, Teams, and other tools, and prepare reports for stakeholders and management.
  • Support invoice auditing and rate validation, and contribute to commercial controls and process improvements.

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or related field
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience in logistics, supply chain, or procurement activities
  • Experience with logistics operations, procurement, or warehousing and transportation activities
  • Chemical industry experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with contract management and supplier negotiations
  • Experience with tender tools and e-procurement platforms (Coupa, Ariba, ServiceNow, or similar)
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis, cost modelling, and market research
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and other analytical tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
