The role


The Integrated Planner plays a critical role in defining and executing the master production schedule (MPS) to enable effective Integrated Business Planning (IBP). This position primarily focuses on detailed planning, scheduling, and inventory management for the manufacturing site in Estonia. The Integrated Planner collaborates with a diverse range of stakeholders, including demand and business managers, manufacturing area leaders, interfacing supply planners, customer service and logistics, as well as sales representatives in various regions. The main objective of the Integrated Planner is to ensure an uninterrupted supply process by balancing supply, inventory, and demand. The Integrated Planner reports to the Supply Chain Manager, Chemical Intermediates.
 

Tasks and Responsibilities

The following tasks and responsibilities belong to the day to day of an Integrated Planner:

Planning

 

  • Develop and implement a detailed master production schedule (MPS) that supports the business strategy and effectively communicate it to key stakeholders.
  • Monitor and optimize supply plans to maximize value through asset optimization, plant balancing, logistics costs, inventory control, and minimizing product transitions.
  • Contribute to the IBP process and actively support the Supply Manager in developing the 24-month supply plan.
  • Evaluate new business/demand opportunities and provide an assessment of supply capabilities.
  • Utilize key analytics to model "what-if" scenarios and propose optimized solutions based on variable supply/demand conditions.
  • Identify constraints and propose alternatives where demand plans cannot be met, taking into account diverse perspectives.
  • Determine if order commitment and/or sales allocation plans are warranted and propose plan modifications required to meet goals.
  • Identify, communicate, and escalate variances from the plan.
  • Manage and resolve variances and exceptions.
  • Manage plant-to-plant, raw materials, and packaging stock transfers.
  • Interface with Materials Handling, Manufacturing, Logistics, QA, Receiving, Purchasing, and other planning groups regarding raw materials procurement issues.
  • Provide forecasts to procurement based on Master Production Schedules (MPS) or S&OP Plan.
  • Participate in the Tactical Business Review (TBR) meetings for the respective areas and actively collaborate on solutions to identified variances from plans.
  • Identify and recommend options for alternate methods of supply (AMS).
     

Inventory

  • Maintain bulk and packaged finished product, raw material, intermediates, and by-products inventory levels and replenishments in line with agreed targets.
  • Identify and support inventory optimization opportunities.
  • Assist with inventory adjustment analysis, including storage location proposals.
  • Manage aged and blocked inventories and work with manufacturing and product management on preventive measures and solutions with minimum impact to the business.
  • Evaluate and define the inventory strategy by continuously reviewing safety stock and target inventories, in line with the changing business environment.

 Project coordination

  • Support, manage, coordinate and/or facilitate solutions around customer inquiries and business processes, such as product management, winning or protecting the business, complaint handling and returned material.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of key customers, markets, and products in responsibility.
  • Initiate improvement opportunities (processes, tools, and knowledge) and proactively support implementation, including optimization of shipment modes, loads, inventory, and packaging strategies.
  • Continually seek ways to improve information visibility and availability.
  • Seek optimization opportunities across the value chain in collaboration with Supply Chain Manager and Logistics Business Manager.
  • Maintain and optimize Master Data in planning systems.

Candidate Profile

 

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university. Supply Chain Management degree is preferred.
  • Three plus years’ experience in forecasting, supply chain, manufacturing, and/or business.
  • Good command of SAP and advanced planning software, preferably OMP. Experience with solvers is a big advantage!
  • Experience with Power BI tools and analytics.
  • Knowledge and experience in S&OP or IBP business processes.
  • APICS, CPIM, or CSCP preferred.
