Laboratory Technician (Eng/Tech) - Experienced

Position Purpose

The primary responsibility of this position is to support analytical laboratory operations. The incumbent will perform routine analytical tasks as directed by the supervisor, including conducting tests such as GC, GC-MS, GPC, HPLC, DSC, TGA, Rheometer, FTIR, FTIR Microscope, optical microscope, titrations, SEM, and XRF. Responsibilities include sample preparation, conducting tests, documenting results, and ensuring smooth and safe laboratory operations. Additionally, the role involves maintaining laboratory equipment and managing the requisition of chemicals and lab consumables.

Job Responsibilities

• Participate in safety meetings and activities, conduct safety inspections, and promote a Zero Incident Safety Culture and Lab 5S activities.
• Develop or enhance routine test procedures for analytical tests, including GC, GC-MS, GPC, HPLC, DSC, TGA, Rheometer, FTIR, FTIR Microscope, optical microscope, titrations, SEM, and XRF.
• Prepare samples and standard samples for analysis using SEM, XRF, FTIR Microscope, GC, GC-MS, HPLC, and GPC.
• Ensure laboratory equipment is routinely calibrated and checked to maintain accuracy and repeatability.
• Conduct data analysis using instrument software.
• Provide accurate and reliable analytical data for the Asia Pacific Technology Organization.
• Ensure the availability of chemicals and consumables for laboratory operations and manage chemical inventory in the lab.
