Eastman Advanced Material - Interlayers, Automotive
For more than 80 years, glass fabricators and automotive engineers have counted on Saflex® PVB interlayers for high quality products, reliable service, and expert advice to help deliver world-class technology for laminated glass. Automotive engineers are also taking advantage of the variety of benefits these products offer, including heat, weight, and sound reduction as well as safety, security, UV protection, and head-up display (HUD) technology.
Role Description
The success of the Account Manager (internal: Sales Representative) will be crucial for the execution of the strategy of the Interlayers Automotive business. As a member of the market segment team, their ability to bring the voice of the customer is critical to inform and implement the market segment strategies through the cross-functional team. The account manager effectively networks across the customers’ entire organization, uncovers opportunities to collaborate, influences customer and Eastman behaviors to address barriers to adoption, and develops mutually beneficial account strategies to adopt Eastman’s technologies. Their ability to generate insights and test hypotheses across their customers network will be key. Furthermore, they are responsible for growing volume and margin year-over-year across their territory by developing and leading the implementation of the account and territory strategies.
Responsibilities
- Develops and implements territory strategies to allocate their own time and the time of functional collaborators to grow territory, volume, and value.
- Develops and implements account strategies to meet the objectives of their territory and the market segment strategies.
- Builds broad networks and deep customer relationships to uncover opportunities and influence customer behaviors to achieve strategy objectives.
- As a member of the market segment team, leads discovery, tests team hypotheses, and ensures the customer objectives are met.
- Manages the sales information systems (SFDC) to ensure insights and information are captured by the organization and demand fulfillment is seamless to the customer and cost efficient for Eastman.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university is required, MBA is desired.
- Min 5 years of working experience in commercial field, preferably sales of applied material.
- Experience developing and executing account strategies with cross functional team members, is required.
- Advanced command of English.
