Role Profile

AMI’s Auto business is expanding rapidly in China and across Asia. We are hiring an early-career Sales Coordinator based in Shanghai to be the data-and-process champion for opportunity management, KPI reporting and automation. This is a high-impact role with exposure to senior sales leaders and clear career progression. 

You will enable smarter, faster commercial decisions by owning opportunity hygiene, compiling insights, delivering monthly KPIs and dashboards for Global Key Account Managers (GKAMs), producing global sales metrics, and building automated reporting in Power BI, and assisting on updating Key account strategy documents. This enable freeing the Asia sales leader and Key account managers to spend more time in-market.

Responsibilities

  • Opportunity management (Asia focus)
    • Support quarterly audits of new business wins vs. forecast; identify gaps and recommend updates to Sales Leader.
    • Build quarterly revenue waterfalls for Asia Sales Leader and GKAMs to show pipeline progression.
    • Prepare concise win/loss analysis: why opportunities were won or lost, product-level performance, and actuals vs. targets.
    • Maintain/ support opportunity data hygiene — ensure opportunities are complete, accurate and correctly staged.
  • GKAM / Key account KPI reporting (global support)
    • Deliver a monthly dashboard for 3 GKAMs covering six standardized KPIs used in account team meetings: Financials, Share of Wallet, Opportunities/Waterfall, Customer Engagements, Commercial Insights, and Cash Flow/Forecast Accuracy & AR.
    • Ensure KPI data is delivered on time, is accurate, and is presentation-ready for account reviews.
    • Assist to update GKA strategy documents
  • Global sales metrics and call reporting
    • Create and distribute a consolidated monthly global report on call reports, insights, interactions, SORs and related sales activity metrics
  • Reporting automation and continuous improvement
    • Identify opportunities to combine and simplify reports; build and maintain Power BI dashboards and automated data feeds to reduce manual effort and increase timeliness.
    • Work with finance teams to automate key data pulls and validation checks.
  • Commercial support and ad hoc analysis
    • Present opportunity and KPI analyses to leaders in concise formats with recommended actions.
    • Support Automotive market data compiling and insights update

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Data Analytics or related field.
  • 1–3 years of commercial, sales-support, analytics, or CRM (Salesforce.com) experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; ability to turn data into clear business insights.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, modeling).
  • Practical experience with Power BI or other visualization tools; willingness to own dashboard development.
  • Experience working with CRM systems (Salesforce, similar) or opportunity management processes.
  • Fluent Mandarin + strong business English (verbal & written).
  • Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Legally authorized to work in China.

 

Preferred skills

  • Basic SQL, Python, or data-preparation experience.
  • Experience in automotive industry, manufacturing, or B2B sales operations.
  • Prior exposure to forecasting, waterfall analysis or account planning.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to tell a story with data.
