Responsibilities

 

Position Purpose

  • Manage site services spend to maximize total cost of ownership and ensure compliance to policy
  • Drive site services supplier reviews and alignment, including audits and certifications
  • Lead deployment and governance efforts at site for indirect sourcing strategies. Develop sourcing strategy for regional service categories.
  • Identify, initiate, and lead improvement projects. Advocate for and support improvements requiring site client resources.
  • Lead stores team. Drive conformance to corporate procurement policy for site services vendors and for spare parts inventory
  • Representative of Global Sourcing and Procurement (GSP) organization on Site Leadership Team
  • Manage buying for small site capital projects

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as quality control for services Purchase Requisitions. Convert Purchase Requisitions to Purchase Orders for the procurement of services
  • Build bid packages (Request for Quote, Request for Information) and conduct supplier bids
  • Negotiate contracts with new and existing suppliers
  • Manage stores operation (goods receipt, stocking, issuance, inventory count, and inventory obsolescence processes) to validate that spare part management is conducted according to company policies. 
  • Manage local supplier sourcing (identification), performance evaluation, and dispute resolution
  • Serve as representative of Procurement to site leadership.
  • Supervisor for Stores team (2 employees)
  • Deploy corporate Procurement initiatives on site. Escalate plant-level procurement issues to sourcing manager or regional procurement manager. Lead GSP policy enforcement (rogue spend, backdoor selling, single source justification)
  • Represent Procurement organization in site emergencies. Back-up for other site leads

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required with concentration in accounting, finance, supply chain, procurement, or business preferred.
  • Procurement, Supply Chain, or warehouse management experience preferred.
  • Experience using SAP or other MRP system preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing facility preferred.
