Responsibilities

 

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:  Serves on the Site Leadership Team as a business partner.  Contributes to setting functional or business strategy in area of expertise. Consulted for input as functional or business strategy is being developed. Anticipates internal and/or external business challenges and/or regulatory issues; recommends process, product, or service improvements. Solves unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the business. Operates with minimal supervision in a complex environment.

 


The Human Resources Manager is responsible for all or part of these areas: 


•    Recruiting and staffing logistics; university relations 
•    Performance management 
•    Organization development 
•    Talent and succession planning processes 
•    Employment and compliance to regulatory concerns and reporting 
•    Employee orientation, training, and development; on-boarding 
•    Employee relations 
•    Conducts disciplinary proceedings and investigations 
•    Employee communications 
•    Benefit inquiries 
•    Supports and inspires health and wellness initiatives 
•    Actively participates in community partnerships
•    Employee services and counseling 
 

 

Qualifications

 

EDUCATION:  


Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or related field required (Master's preferred) 

 

EXPERIENCE:  


•    Senior level Generalist experience within a manufacturing facility preferred. 
•    PHR or SPHR certification preferred 

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:


•    Excellent cross-group collaboration, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. 
•    Strong systems-thinking ability. Demonstrable experience in analyzing business issues and providing scalable HR solutions that address & align to broader business requirements. 
•    Ability to deal with ambiguity, and achieve results in a fast-paced, heavily-distributed team environment. 
•    Ability to manipulate and analyze HR data and drive solutions or recommendations based on data insights. 
•    Demonstrated knowledge of HR laws such as EEOC guidelines, FLSA and ADA in US or equivalent labor laws in international locations. 
•    Experience in another HR function, such as Organization Design, Expatriate Administration, Talent Management, Compensation or Benefits a plus.
•    Can demonstrate the ability to prioritize based on the highest value add to business 
•    Can lead small projects or HR processes in Client area 
•    Proficient in HR Systems and Microsoft Office Products, such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint 
•    Strong leadership skills and ability to influence at all levels of the organization 
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills
