Summer Job – Logistics Planner

Taminco Finland Oy is a subsidiary of Eastman Chemical Company based in Oulu, Finland. The Oulu site was established in 1952 and Eastman acquired it in 2014 from Kemira plc. The key products produced are formic acid & derivates and formamide. The products are found in various applications in industries such as food, leather, rubber, textile, chemical additives, pharma and in plastic and silage additives. 

We have a temporary full-time vacancy for Logistics planner summertime substitution in our Delivery Office in Oulu. Starting at the end of May.  

Role Purpose

Main responsible for planning activities for shipping volumes of our products by marine and rail and road mode to ensure end-to-end shipments to the customers. As logistics planner you take day-to-day care of shipment bookings, arranging transport and coordinating with forwarders/carries. You monitor and follow-up on these shipments in close cooperation with customer service representatives, external warehouses, tank operators and other close stakeholders. 

Key Tasks

•    Management of Eastman order delivery processes, booking shipments, customs clearance, planning of transport costs, and preparation of transport documents
•    Preparation of export documents (including letters of credit), insurance papers and forwarding documents
•    Clearance of error / problem situations and complaints
•    SAP ERP system management of forward deliveries

Responsibilities    

•    Handle the end-to-end planning process to make sure orders are planned / shipped and received as optimal as possible in compliance with SLA’s
•    Ensure and manage all the export documents needed 
•    Proactively Inform Supply Chain in case of issues, and act whenever needed to avoid shipment delays and other issues

Required Qualifications & Experience

•    Commercial / logistics education
•    Language skills: Finnish and English
•    SAP knowledge is seen as an advantage
•    Organizational and co-operative skills
•    Strong communication skills
•    Problem solving skills
•    Service orientation, flexibility, pressure tolerance
•    Managing various things simultaneously
•    Commitment to Eastman safety regulations
