The Role
The HR Manager will be part of the site leadership team and will be responsible for enacting the overall HR strategy for the business.This position will provide a proven HR professional the opportunity to make a difference and be pivotal in driving the Eastman Global Plan for Success. The role will be both strategic and operational in providing a comprehensive HR service across the full employee lifecycle, delivering strong people related strategies, aligned with current employment law and business objectives.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage and develop the HR function for Finland ensuring leadership and development of direct report.
- Develop strategies which focus on staff development, succession planning, mentoring and talent attraction and retention.
- Manage continuous collaboration with employee representatives and other stakeholders related to employment and labor relations.
- Leadership of country/local personnel policy and administration (payroll, local benefits, etc.).
- Coaching people leaders to continuously drive leadership of people related strategies aligned with business objectives and current employment legislation.
- Locally drive and enhance the global HR initiatives that support the delivery of Eastman’s value proposition.
- Ensure data quality for employee records is accurate and secure, and compliant with regulations.
What You’ll Bring to The Team
- Experience in managing employee relations and strong understanding of Finnish employment related legislation, regulations and practices, a manufacturing background would be advantageous.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software.
- Competence to influence and build relationships with a cross-functional, global matrix organization with the awareness of cultural differences.
- Strong stakeholder management with local management teams and wider organizational reporting structure.
- Academic degree and relevant HR experience including leadership experience.
- Must be proficient in both written and spoken Finnish and English.
