Description & Key Responsibilities

The Pattern Data Manager will be part of the global team responsible for providing automotive window film and paint protection film patterns for our cutting systems software. They will utilize a range of quantitative and qualitative data sources in relation to vehicle launches and physical characteristics to achieve data management and forecasting objectives. The scope of work for the data management team is global, with the proportion of non-EMEA data management workload varying depending on demand. The role requires a practical understanding of vehicles and the ability to work with remote field teams, combined with data management responsibilities.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Field Team Communication
    • Generate prioritized work orders for field teams by utilizing vehicle launch data, identifying gaps, customer requests, sales opportunities and sales priorities.
    • Regular communication with field teams on job progress, challenges and field insights via MS Teams and phone.
  • Create Model Acquisition Plans & Associations
    • Research vehicle physical characteristics and enter to the cutting systems software
    • Optimize field team’s workload via model acquisition plans that minimize the number of vehicle trims that need to physically be acquired
    • Ensure field feedback is captured, informing cross-referencing confidence data.
  • Customer Feedback & Sales Communication
    • Desk base investigations and resolutions of customer complaints
    • Keep sales & software teams updated via maintenance of feedback & job prioritization records.
  • Vehicle Change Tracking & Forecasting
    • Conduct research and maintain records to capture long and short-term forecasting
    • Track priority vehicles at launch
    • Maintain acquisition channel plans for fast acquisition
  • Upload & Database maintenance
    • Maintain vehicle data to ensure accuracy and smooth customer experience
    • Update the database with new information from data sources, field feedback and customer feedback
    • Ensure high pattern & data integrity by training / coaching field teams in their file preparation practices.
    • Review field submissions (completed design files) for completeness & accuracy. Including design file review and some design file adjustments.
    • Upload & sign off to promote patterns to appear for our customers in cutting software.

 

Education & Experience

  • 4-year degree preferred.
  • Working with databases or software to drive work, actions or decisions (e.g. CRM software, Automotive industry workorder or parts systems etc.)
  • Directing the activities of practical/field teams (face to face and via phone or teleconference).
  • Project management and/or coordination experience.
  • Automotive industry exposure, resulting in knowledge of the key automotive terminology and taxonomy required to navigate automotive datasets. Or a keen personal automotive interest and knowledge.

  • Strong excel skills, including pivot tables.
  • Ability to navigate complex datasets.
  • Ability to collaborate with extended team members.
  • Ability to coach others on data management best practice.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills, especially when translating between practical/technical and management audiences.
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities.
  • Flexibility to change plans quickly to support changing commercial priorities
  • Adaptable to new methods, processes and techniques, combined with a willingness to evolve own market knowledge.
