Overview

Location: Newport, South Wales, UK
Contract: FTC for maternity cover for 11 months
Hours: Full time
Working pattern: On site at least 4 days per week

 

We’re looking for a proactive and detail focused HR Advisor to join our team and help deliver a high class people experience to cover a period of maternity leave. In this role, you’ll be a go to person for HR and payroll queries, ensuring colleagues are supported throughout their employment journey. You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of HR systems, assisting managers and leaders in navigating HR processes, and ensuring strict adherence to UK employment, payroll, and statutory regulations. 

Role Description

 

  • Serving as a trusted advisor and primary contact for both HR and payroll queries, the HR Advisor proactively engages with all levels of employees across the organisation, including for company and external auditing purposes.
  • Processing monthly payrolls for the UK, Spain and UAE, including starters, leavers and any contractual changes.
  • Ensuring accurate processing of statutory and company provisions including PAYE, NI, pensions, sickness, long term incentives and any other entitlements.
  • Supporting HR administration across the full employee lifecycle – recruitment, onboarding, contracts, employee changes and offboarding.
  • Co-ordination of Company car benefits and vehicle allocations.
  • Maintaining employee records in our HR and payroll systems, ensuring compliance with GDPR.
  • Supporting any corporate or local HR projects, aligned with business goals.
  • Supporting benefits administration including pensions, healthcare, service awards and other schemes.
  • Producing routine HR and payroll reports for business finance and the wider team.
  • Contributing to process improvements and helping us continuously enhance the employee experience.

Experience

Essential:

 

  • Experience of delivering or supporting payroll processing.
  • Strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident understanding of payroll legislation and statutory payments.
  • Experience providing HR support and maintaining accurate employee data.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage deadlines.
  • Demonstrates a proactive, solutions based approach.
  • Strong communication skills and a confidential, professional approach.

 

Desirable:

 

  • A CIPD or business related qualification.
  • Experience using payroll or HR systems such as ADP, Success Factors, SAP or similar.
  • Experience in a corporate or fast paced organisation.
