The Position
We currently have a vacancy for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer at our Newport site. The successful candidate will report to the E&I Maintenance Manager and support both Eastman and third-party operations.
The Person
Will hold a degree in a relevant discipline, with several years’ experience working in a similar environment.
Key experience would ideally include -
• Ensuring safe operation, integrity and reliability of equipment/assets.
• Have experience in manufacturing/production industry.
• HV experience (up to 11Kv), ideally SAP.
• Participated in Ops51 (or equivalent) HV training.
• Electrical inspection and testing.
• Training to the recent wiring regulations.
• Creation of effective planned maintenance strategies, schedules and task lists.
• Plan, schedule and manage the execution of small-scale maintenance projects.
• Fully conversant with relevant legislation.
• Troubleshooting and fault diagnosis.
• Read, interpret and check technical drawings & engineering flow diagrams.
• Experience in planning, progress monitoring, forecasting and reporting.
• Manage spares program to support equipment, including capital items.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Effective cost management and reporting.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude to personal and process safety.
• Extensive CMMS experience, ideally SAP.
• Contractor safety management.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work with multiple specialist contractors.
