Role Description
The Senior Manager, Brand & Market Engagement is a senior leader responsible for shaping and operationalizing strategic communications, enterprise-level brand engagement, and market engagement. The role is tasked with integrating highly effective communications strategies into the business and enterprise. This leader ensures the company’s brand, market presence, and go-to-market strategies are unified, insight-driven, and positioned for maximum impact across global markets. They set the vision and standards for integrated communications and market engagement excellence. They guide cross-functional teams through disciplined planning, optimize segment-level investment, and champion communications outcomes in the market.
This role acts as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders, driving alignment on priorities, elevating marketing effectiveness, and empowering teams to deliver best-in-class, innovative marketing communications solutions.
Responsibilities
Market engagement, leadership, and innovation:
• Translate business strategies, market dynamics and customer insights into clear, actionable communications strategies that deliver outcomes.
• Serve as a thought leader on emerging marketing, industry trends, customer-engagement, and competitive dynamics, using these insights to develop innovative communications plans that drive measurable results.
• Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to inform enterprise and segment-level strategies
• Leverage deep digital know-how to build strong digital elements into marcom strategies to drive measurable ROI
Strategy & brand management:
• Lead teams in developing integrated, multi-channel market engagement strategies grounded in unified brand storytelling, audience-centric communications, channel excellence, and modern marketing technologies that drive growth and strengthen brand positioning.
• Act as a senior strategic advisor to business leaders, providing clarity, thought leadership, and counsel on brand, communications, and market engagement strategies
• Guide teams in creating compelling messaging frameworks, brand narratives, and go-to-market plans grounded in customer value
• Steward brand architecture and governance, ensuring consistent application of corporate and product brand standards globally
• Translate complex strategic needs into clear briefs and stakeholder presentations that accelerate progress and drive decision making
Communication, budget, execution, & relationship management:
• Build trust and alignment with senior leaders across marketing, business, product, operations, and executive teams; navigate complex priorities and drive consensus
• Oversee execution of complex, cross-functional marketing initiatives, ensuring strong planning, resource allocation, and budget discipline
• Coach teams on communication excellence: including clear briefs, high-impact presentations, executive-ready narratives, effective customer communications and more
• Ensure teams consistently deliver insight-driven recommendations that optimize channel mix, creative effectiveness, and engagement outcomes
• Ability to effectively manage budgets and marketing investments based on strategic value, commercial needs, and market impact.
• Guide teams in aligning marcom priorities with broader business goals, ensuring disciplined tradeoff management
Value Management
• Drive accountability for marketing performance, ensuring clear reporting of ROI, insights, and continuous improvement actions
• Champion robust measurement frameworks, KPI development, and performance dashboards across all market engagement activities
• Ensure accurate project planning, resource management, agency oversight, budget management, and prioritization across workstreams
• Champion adoption of best practices, templates, scalable processes, and playbooks that improve speed, quality, and efficiency
• Drive process optimizations among cross-functional teams to deliver efficiency and effectiveness
Team Leadership & Talent Development
• Empower teams to deliver strategic, innovative communications plans that advance business objectives and drive results
• Lead and develop account team talent by creating a culture of strategic excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement
• Build team capability around innovative strategic communications, new technologies, brand management, data-driven thinking, storytelling, integrated planning, and stakeholder influence
• Foster cross-team collaboration to maximize team impact
Qualifications
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree required. Preferred in marketing, communications, business, journalism or related field.
• Experience: +12 years of marketing or communications experience preferred
• B2B experience preferred, but not required
Skills & Competencies:
• Exceptional leadership skills including a track record of successfully mentoring and growing team capabilities
• Ability to counsel senior executives with confidence, to create win-win outcomes in conflict scenarios
• Strong ability to influence and guide cross-functional alignment, including ability to say ‘no’
• Consistently brings a positive, solutions-first mindset; diagnoses issues and delivers practical, timely resolutions
• Expertise in modern marketing channels, analytics, digital platforms, AI and marketing technologies
• Stellar influencing and negotiation skills with experience navigating complex organizational structures and multiple stakeholders
• Excellent verbal and written communications, organization, budgeting, and management skills
Preferred Tool Experience:
• Asana
• Proficient in Microsoft office – PowerPoint, Word, Excel
• Salesforce – experience managing campaigns and cases
The base salary range for this position is $140,000 to $192,500.
