Role Description

This role may work remotely in the United States


Eastman is working to catalyze the transformation from a linear to a circular economy.  With the launch of two commercial molecular recycling technologies, Eastman sees the opportunity to show what is possible and create real solutions to the world’s plastic waste problem.  In order to do this, we must shape market expectations, break through old paradigms, and drive change in the market. 

Responsible for developing and executing digital/social strategies that are part of strategic integrated marketing communications campaigns associated with growth businesses, projects or products.  This involves day-to-day management of marketing communications digital/social campaigns to generate qualified opportunities that lead to revenue growth. 

Work in partnership with MarCom reps and managers to develop a good understanding of the strategy, target markets and the targeted segments in the market in order to implement effective digital marketing /social programs. 

Develop, monitor, and manage projects and campaigns within approved budget. Has responsibility for project execution and works directly with cross-functional marcom teams. 



Strategy Development 

  • Set and implement social media and communication campaigns to align with marketing strategies 
  • Develop and manage content calendar; coordinate with corporate content calendar  


Project Execution/Implementation 

  • Produce engaging, story-driven, customer focused content (text, images and video) for social media accounts/channels 
  • Respond to comments and customer queries in a timely manner 
  • Monitor and report on feedback and online reviews 
  • Develop a baseline dashboard to measure listening and engagement 


Brand Governance 

  • Ensure proper use of Eastman brand, trademarks and logos 
  • Crisis communications management  


Budget Management 

  • Manage campaign/project budgets to ensure that estimated and/or approved budgets are not exceeded and that execution is as cost-efficient as possible 


Team Participation/Contributions 

  • Contribute to corporate Marketing Communications Team Key Initiatives to build/develop Eastman capability 

Education and/or Experience

Location: U.S. Central or Eastern time zone; relocation not required 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Communications degree preferred 

Experience: 5-8 years of marketing or communications experience preferred 

Essential Skills & Knowledge: 

  • Well-organized, detail/project/goal oriented and able to work under deadlines. 
  • Proven work experience as a community manager 
  • Experience launching community initiatives (e.g. building an online community/channel, launching a thought leadership program, creating a web series and writing digital content) 
  • Ability to identify and track relevant community metrics  
  • Excellent verbal communication skills 
  • Exceptional grammar/writing skills 
  • Hands on experience with social media management for brands 
  • Ability to interpret website traffic and online customer engagement metrics 
  • Knowledge of online marketing and marketing channels 
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask 
  • Ability to navigate complex and continually evolving organizational environments
