The Role:

This role is part of our Pattern Design Team and will be focusing on making patterns for our PPF (Paint Protection Film). The Design team meets customer needs for available quality patterns that enable PPF sales.  Accountabilities include that patterns are designed, validated, and uploaded onto our Pattern Database. The Design team collaborates with cross-functional partners in Technical Service and Sales across the US and globally in order to access vehicle data to create PPF patterns in accordance with our global quality standards. This is a field base role that requires travel (~50% of time). Travel may be required across the USA as well as other regions. Desk based work will be complete from home office. 

 

 

This role will work from a home office in the greater Denver, Charlotte, or Boston area

Responsibilities

  • Develop high quality Paint Protection Film (PPF) patterns
    • Manual template making
    • Digitizing and editing patterns using graphics software
    • Validation installation of patterns to vehicles
  • Time management & reporting
    • Deliver patterns within deadlines (per vehicle) to meet annual pattern targets
    • Weekly and monthly reporting on progress
  • Manage and maintain patterns (Data management)
    • Maintain folders and pictures for pattern fitment validation
    • Adjust existing patterns where necessary
  • Contribute to and deliver global pattern best practice
    • Implement latest agreed global best practice within the global pattern operation
    • Share insights and collaborate in the development of best practice and standard operating procedures
    • Support knowledge transfer across Performance Films (consulting on, or delivering training and guidance), as required
  • Pattern Acquisition Channels
    • Manage own pattern prioritization list 
    • Support the development of existing and new pattern acquisition channels to enable vehicle access 

Required Qualifications

  • High School or GED Equivalent Education is  required
  • Clearly demonstrable practical skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Technical & design, skills or mindset 
  • Experience or interest in the automotive industry (professional or personal) 
  • Experience managing own workload

Desired Experience and Personal Traits:

  • Paint Protection Film (PPF) fitment expertise, or similar products with closely transferable skills.
  • Practical engineering or materials experience (hands on mindset as to how materials work in real world applications)
  • Affinity with Graphic design software skills, such as CorelDRAW
  • Results focused and detail oriented
  • Ability to build and maintain customer relationships
  • Ability to follow best practice work methods
  • Flexibility to meet deadlines and ability to work under pressure
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Windows, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
