This is the role

Refine and Manage Market strategies and activities that turn into profitable growth for assigned market segments with a cross-functional team. Translate those Market strategies into actionable market activation plans for the swine industry. Responsible for strategy execution in terms of market–facing activities to drive and maintain growth. Manages the animal nutrition growth synergy stage-gate project and other projects to completion and serves as industry marketing expert. Makes recommendations on potential growth initiatives in new and existing markets (based on market trend/insight and discovery). Explores new applications in existing markets. The role leads the cross-functional market activation efforts and ensures alignment between functions in an effort to maximize effective positioning of Eastman’s additive solutions in the Animal Nutrition industry with focus on swine. 
 

Typical duties and responsibilities are

  • Drives market assessment by collecting market, competition, application and technology insights and defines market gaps and growth opportunities  
  • Maintains Adressable market maps and existing offers through managing a cross functional team. 
  • Responsible for developing a pipeline of customer and prospect opportunities for the market segment plan together with sales and technical service 
  • Defines and drives the market activation plans per segment, including the strategy for activation, go-to market plan, measures and communication tools .  
  • Defines Value propositions for our offering. Develops EVE/ROI calculations to create understanding of value of Eastman offerings vs alternatives and give guidance on value pricing  
  • Refines segmentation and secures differentiated offers are developed and launched per each segment. 
  • As part of the market activation plan owns the definition and implementation of marketing campaigns, the comprehensive briefing of the communications team on planned campaigns and their successful execution 
  • with Marcom team 
  • Suggests discovery guides to gather market information (market sizes, application practices, customer needs...)
  • Uses discovery outcomes to prioritize the underserved differentiated growth opportunities 
  • Joint Responsibility with sales leader for opportunity/leads management for all growth opportunities for the assigned swine segment(s). 
  • Working with sales on developing customer relationships and partnerships to execute growth opportunities, whether that be positioning of existing offers at customers, or new product/application development opportunities. 
     

This is what you bring

Education & Experience

  • Education in Animal Science, Animal Nutrition or as Veterinarian is a plus 
  • MBA, Marketing degree OR proven marketing career experience required  
  • 3-5 years B2B experience in the Animal Nutrition Industry (ideally additives). 
  • Experience in executing marketing strategies or plans.  
  • Experience in quantified value proposition development and value pricing. 

Competencies & Skills

  • Strong marketing capabilities in a range of marketing excellence tools. 
  • Experience in building business/ cases. Experience in product launches and campaigns. 
  • Experience with Project management for stage-gate and non-stage gate projects. 
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
