Human Resources Representative (Location : India)

Position Purpose

The position is responsible for aligning business objectives with commercial and technology employees and management in India. The position serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues for the country. The successful incumbent acts as an employee champion and change agent. The role assesses and anticipates HR-related needs. Communicating needs proactively within HR function and business management, the position seeks to develop integrated solutions. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. 

Drive employee engagement and tasked with maintaining healthy relationships among employees across the business in the country. Conduct regular meetings with the employees and managers to develops trusted relationships.


Key Responsibilities:
•    A HR business partner for India and you will partner with within the business organization and functions in driving and executing the people agenda through appropriate advice and delivery of best-practice.
•    Key responsibilities will include proactive relationship management and providing HR advisory and support in all aspects of the country responsible, including recruitment, performance management, talent management, compensation, training, organisational development and manpower planning.
•    Responsible for management of employee relations issues (either directly or in conjunction with the legal) such as disciplinary, grievances, employee litigation, redundancy and terminations. 
•    Be the employee champion. Consult with Managers and provide guidance on, team dynamics, stakeholder navigation, performance, compensation, career development and all other core HR themes.
•    Have a consistent pulse on employee engagement and share with your leaders to promote a holistic understanding of employee morale and team needs/risks.
•    Provide guidance to ensure consistent application of policies, procedures, and practices.
•    Review the outreach strategies and explore different talent acquisition sources and platforms for attracting talents
•    Identify training needs of the employees and delivering working with program managers to deliver the training 
•    Provide thoughtful and effective advice on people management and organisational issues, including change management, team building and overall effectiveness.

A strong candidate would possess good knowledge of multiple human resources disciplines, such as talent acquisition and development, employee relations, organisational effectiveness, compensation practices. Understand the local labour market landscape as well as legislation.

  • Pro-active/Follow-Through – to initiate appropriate new (or changes to existing) HR programs, policies and related procedures as the need arises and without being prompted. The HR Representative should also possess the tenacity to follow through project undertaken by him/her to ensure its completion
