Sourcing Manager
Responsibilities
This position may be performed remotely, with the expectation of maintaining strong communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Occasional on-site engagement may be required to support business needs and foster alignment.
We are seeking a proactive and strategic Sourcing Manager to lead sourcing initiatives across non-technical indirect MRO categories, including General Industrial Supplies, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and Pipe, Valves, and Fittings (PVF) as well as other various categories. This role is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships and contracts, and driving value through effective procurement practices.
The Sourcing Manager will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to implement sourcing strategies, implement governance mechanisms to minimize value leakage, and ensure alignment with operational and business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing & Category Management
Develop and implement sourcing strategies for non-technical MRO categories (e.g., consumables, safety supplies, janitorial, tools).
Conduct market analysis, supplier benchmarking, and risk assessments to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Negotiate contracts and service agreements to achieve favorable terms and conditions.
- Supplier Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliability, quality, and compliance.
Implement supplier performance scorecards and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Cost Optimization & Compliance
Deliver measurable cost savings through strategic sourcing, supplier consolidation, and process improvements.
Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with maintenance, operations, and finance teams to align sourcing strategies with plant reliability and operational goals.
Support stakeholders with sourcing expertise and resolve escalations promptly.
- Data & Process Management
Use procurement systems and analytics tools to monitor spend, track KPIs, and report performance.
Drive process standardization and digital enablement for MRO procurement activities.
Qualifications
Education, Experience, and Skills:
· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
· 3+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain, preferably in MRO or indirect categories.
· Strong understanding of supplier markets and contract management.
· Experience implementing sourcing governance and working cross-functionally.
· Proficiency in ERP/procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba) and data analysis tools.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
