Master Data Specialist I
Job Description/Summary:
The Master Data Specialist I (MDS) is an individual contributor with global responsibility for creation and maintenance of customer, packaging, indirect material, direct material, or vendor master within SAP. The MDS will have primary responsibility within one of the data domains, while expected to cross-train and provide back-up across domains.   An ability to work proactively with minimal guidance is required.   Additionally, MDS must demonstrate mature interpersonal and communication skills to interact with personnel across multiple business functions and roles. The MDS will provide corporate SAP support for Eastman sites, worldwide.

Primary Job Duties:  

•    Understand and manage process-specific workflows per assigned domain (Fiori, YIMSA, YMCR, InfoPath, SharePoint, Excel)
•    SAP transactions MK01 FK01 XD01 MM01 XK01
•    Troubleshoot minor process issues/errors
•    Troubleshoot master data errors per assigned domain:
•    Review master data record creation and change requests to determine accuracy and conformity of data. 
•    Review master data record creation and change requests to determine if the submission meets the standards and guidelines of the business. 
•    Research via various resources to validate key information
•    Creation and maintenance of supporting records
•    Ensure SOX controls are enforced and maintained by thorough review of information/evidence provided.
•    Follow-up on any SOX controls variations to ensure appropriate action is taken.
•    Work with Leads to support the creation of mass load sheets for the various domains
•    Maintain and govern master data records within SAP for acquistions/integration.
•    Assist in other business projects globally as assigned.
•    Responsible for ensuring the quality of the data in the system and cleansing/updating incorrect data according to Information Steward data quality results as assigned.
•    Contact and communicate with other functional groups to obtain necessary information to improve the accuracy of the data record as directed by Lead. 
•    Proactively identify process and system improvement opportunities supporting productivity gains, cost savings, and enhanced compliance. 
•    Manage group mailbox per assigned domain by resolving or escalating requests.
•    Block inactive data routinely as assigned.
•    Reactivate/Unblock records as needed (all domains)
•    Support reporting requests from management, audit, etc. 


Required Education:
•    BS Degree
•    2+ years of master data management experience
Required Skills:
•    Fluent in English must
•    Diplomatic and open communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills
•    Team skills as well as the ablility to work independently and follow through task to completion/resoultion. Must 
•    Detail oriented to produce accurate and consistent work must
•    Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
•    Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel
•    Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
•    Strong capability to troubleshoot and provide prompt response
•    Domain per year (aprox) 
•    Adaptable and open to change (transitioning ) new processes 
•    Prior experience with SAP or a proven record of database management skills must
