The Workforce Technical Application Analyst is responsible for providing analysis and support for Eastman’s Human Resources business function.
This position is responsible for tasks related to the implementation, administration, and support of the Workforce Time & Attendance system. This includes project analysis, design, estimation, and documentation (such as business requirements, governance, and etc). This may involve, but is not limited to, the analysis, design, and estimation of medium to large-scale projects, product support, and coordination with other team members. This position involves moderate coordination with other departments, business partners, and outside vendors. Deliver new business systems solutions by executing projects and participating in activities ranging from requirements gathering, gap analysis, solution design, process documentation, system configuration, test planning and execution, training documentation, delivery, and deployment to support. One must have advanced working knowledge of information systems and operations systems for supported business groups. Working knowledge of relational database structures, models, and diagrams are essential.
Responsibilities
As the Workforce Technical Application Analyst, you will use your knowledge and experience with Workforce Time and Attendance to help Eastman’s Human Resource business function maintain and optimize the system to fully improve HR processes, efficiencies and value provided to the business by: Providing global technical support for the Workforce technology including Data Flow between Workforce and SAP/SuccessFactors. Additional job duties include but are not limited to other SAP HR data feeds, modules, and support.
- Assist with daily maintenance and administration of the Workforce Time and Attendance system.
- Provide subject matter expert (SME) assistance to functional end-users, including knowledge-transfer and troubleshooting Workforce Time and Attendance system issues.
- Explain and demonstrate various aspects of current, developing, and planned system functionality. Assist with the review of new Workforce releases, fixes, and updates to determine applicability.
- Participate on the implementation team for the Workforce replacement of all current Time & Attendance and Staffing & Scheduling systems.
- Assist with the testing and analysis of results. Troubleshoot system issues.
- Provide go-live support to the HR business partner
- Assist with the administration of security/roles for all timekeepers and managers for the Workforce Time and Attendance system.
- Assign security/role access after timekeepers and managers have met training requirements.
- Conduct a quarterly security/roles audit of all users and their access.
- Maintain and update the Time and Attendance security/roles workbook.
- Develop and create system documentation.
- Ensure that documentation is up to date and reflects current operations.
- Document functional issues and recommended resolutions.
- Support the payroll production staff with the tasks needed to process and confirm payroll for employees biweekly.
Required Skills and Experience
- Experience with Workforce Time and Attendance including Advanced Scheduling functionality and job execution and scheduling.
- Understand and support API integration to provide Workforce data to external applications.
- Support all Workforce Add-Ons
- Experience with Workforce Security and Analytics
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to self-manage key deliverables and deadlines.
- Analytical, organizational, problem solving and follow-up skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Capable of relating business issues to the IT staff in to achieve the necessary resolution of issues
- Ability to make sound decisions and exercise good judgment.
- Proficiency with the Workforce application, including but not limited to understanding the
- Ability to write SQL and ABAP queries of simple to medium complexity
- Experience writing reports using Crystal reports
- Comfortable leading / presenting live and remotely facilitated training; communicate succinctly, and able to coach or mentor others
- Must be a team player, with good interpersonal skills, self-starter, and have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Added advantage : SAP HR experience in an IT environment and respective business area in analyzing and implementing applications systems required.
