Quality Control Technician

Job Description

Technicians are responsible for learning the various test procedures, knowledge of lab instruments and equipment, and performing calibrations as required.

Job Expectations:

  • Must follow all safety procedures along with wearing required personal protective equipment as determined in designated areas
  • Must be willing to work the shift schedule dictated for the position
  • Must be able to work Overtime as needed
  • Must be dependable – reporting to work on time, ready to work
  • Must be able to work in a team environment Must have solid, demonstrated analytical and mechanical skills and the abilty to troubleshoot
  • Must have basic knowledge of chemistry and math
  • Must have strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft office suite programs (Excel, Word)
  • Knowledge of SAP/LIMS is preferred
  • Have a strong work ethic, demonstrating both initiative and a professional attitude
  • Background knowledge in SPC, quality controlmethods and ISO principles preferred
  • Must have clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to apply mechanical fundamentals to properly operate and maintain the performance of the equipment within their area of responsibility
  • Must be able to perform the essential elements of the positions with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Assisting/carrying out special quality related projects
  • Provide daily assessment on product Quality
  • Escalate any issues/abnormalities of product, test methods, or lab equipment
  • Must have an in depth understanding of production process
  • Provide opportunities/feedback for Continuous Improvement
  • Primary  resource to all of facility for RMs , WIP, and FG for product disposition
  • Must be able to support Return and Claims management
  • Conduct Raw Material incoming inspections
  • Support Quality documeantion  management- yielding; archives; needs; data entry
  • Ensure Calibrations/Standards of Laboratory Equipmentis completed
  • Support internal and competitive  audit
  • Support certifications of product
  • Support Curing evaluations
  • Support development and refinement of test methods
  • Training resource for QA, Rewind, and Coating & Laminating
  • Support Workmanship Standards Management(visual and digital standards)
  • Support on internal and external quality related investigations
  • Certifications of Product (expanding of course)



  • High School Diploma/GED Required



  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have valid driver's license
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
