Role Description


The Product Representative is responsible for providing support to the Product Management team and working with a broad base of internal functional partners to ensure the overall product management strategy is executed efficiently.  The position requires strong influence and communication skills.  As the position is quite broad, it is an excellent role for further development towards commercial, supply chain, product management positions.


The Product Representative must be capable of working in a matrix environment, working closely with Marketing, Sales, Pricing, Supply Chain, Finance, Manufacturing, Quality, Product Development and Technical Service to achieve PF product strategies. 




Key Responsibilities:


  • Work closely with key stakeholders to implement overall PF Product strategy and meet business objectives.
  • Lead EEOA activities for the Product Management function by working with the Global Supply Chain, Quality, and Finance teams with an overall goal of reducing reserves, lowering exemptions, and improving visibility of upcoming EEOA issues.
  • Execute the product the sun-setting process ensuring all parties are properly notified and global inventory is depleted. 
  • Coordinate the flow of competitive samples from the field to the analytical team and ensure timely feedback to the commercial teams via SharePoint, talking points, reports, and scripts. Grow to leading competitive information and insight sessions.
  • Coordinate the field testing of engineering and product management projects, by working with Tech Service and the commercial teams.  Ensure timely feedback and information flow back to the project teams as part of agreed risk mitigation action items.
  • Be the project lead for designated Product Management Stage Gate Lite projects.
  • Be the go-to resource for data mining of SAP, Variable Margin report, 4Box report, and other data as requested. Participate in margin optimization sessions and grow to position of leading those discussions.
  • Own the Product Management Product Guide and work with other resources in engineering, product development, and product management to maximize the usefulness of the tool.
  • Coordinate shipment or receipt of new product sample rolls, competitive samples, field testing, and other films as required.
  • Responsible for ensuring timely payment of Industry Affairs partners.
  • Provide regional data to enable the Global Product Manager to set regional pricing floors and ceilings for existing products.
  • Develop formal communication plans about asset utilization, allocation choices and product changes/updates.  
  • Work with cross functional teams to support the execution of Stage Gate projects.






Required Degree / Education:


  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university required.
  • Degree in Chemistry, Material Sciences, or Engineering a plus.    
  • Experience in Product Management a plus.

Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience:


  • At least 3 years of business, manufacturing, product, or technical experience.
  • Good organization skills, ability to manage several key objectives at the same time.
  • Strong computer skills and efficiency in SAP, SharePoint, and MicroSoft Office, especially Excel, knowledge of Tableau a plus.
  • Strong ability to present data in a way that brings insight and informs choices quickly and simply. 
  • Excellent inter-personal skills with demonstrated success working with cross-functional teams, including internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to contribute effectively as an individual and within a team.
  • Should have high energy with strong initiative and self-motivation.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively maneuver through complex situations.
  • Good written and oral presentation skills

Limited travel may be required. +/- 5%.
