In this position you will work as a key part of the Environmental, Safety & Health team at the Patriot Center site. You will provide technical support to ensure facility compliance with environmental regulations and permits. As the site subject matter expert in air, waste and wastewater regulations, you will be responsible for preparing and managing Title V, New Source Review (NSR), and POTW permits and programs. You will also have reporting duties for SARA 313, MON MACT, wastewater discharge, air emission inventory, and hazardous waste. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining environmental requirement software.

 

You will be the facility liaison for regulatory agencies, corporate, and civic organizations. You will review and analyze environmental documentation issued by federal EPA, Virginia EPA, and other state and local agencies to determine the impact on company operations. Then determine financial, public, & environmental impact.

 

In addition to the Environmental responsibilities, by being a member of the GHSES team, you will be one of the GHSES liaison to the sites operating departments. As such, it requires you to have general knowledge of personnel safety, industrial hygiene and process safety management

 

Required Skills:

  • Ability to communicate effectively (both oral and written) at various levels throughout the organization and with local, state and federal regulatory agencies.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.

 

  • Required Experience:

  • B.S. Degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering, Environmental Sciences or equivalent.
  • 3+ years experience in the area of environmental regulations, particularly Title V air permits, is required as well as an understanding of chemical plant operations.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer is a benefit.

    4 Year Degree
