Responsibilities

The Small Construction Project and Work Order Execution Manager will lead engineering teams to deliver high-quality projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives. This role involves strategic planning, resource management, and fostering a collaborative team environment. This individual will collaborate with Group Leaders, engineering teams, operations representatives, project controls, and Project Managers to ensure successful project execution. 


Responsibilities (including but not limited to the following):
•    Safely support the execution of capital projects and work orders as assigned through engineering phases of the project or provide discipline specific support in accordance with established schedules, budgets, and customer requirements. 
•    Compile and identify scope of project, identify discipline support needs (all design disciplines plus any applicable SME support, Reliability, etc) and assemble resources for project teams.
•    Oversee the planning, execution, and detailed designs from engineering through implementation.
•    Work with the SCP Project Manager and Project Controls personnel to coordinate, report, and document the progress of work, provide feedback on budget and schedule deviations, and communicate upcoming work projection. 
•    Interface with Engineering Services, Engineering Contractor, Hyderabad, Contracting Services, and Operations for the effective implementation of capital projects. 
•    Identify to Project Team schedule and cost-related issues including recognition of critical issues and action on them to preclude project problems. 
•    Ensure involvement of appropriate personnel in the development and implementation of capital projects from Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Operations, and Maintenance (EPCOM).
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, including other engineering disciplines, project managers, group leaders, project controls and schedulers, operations, and procurement to ensure successful project delivery. 
•    Active day-to-day interaction with disciplines to ensure coordination, identify concerns, resolve issues and enable progress.
•    Provide guidance, mentoring, and collaboration on projects. Provide work process guidance to team members. 
•    Promote use of Eastman Capital Process and ensure the best-value practices are used to establish project scope and to manage changes. 
•    Consider safety, cost, and schedule in overall project plan to ensure objectives are met at best overall value.  
•    Must understand and follow all applicable safety requirements and expectations. 
•    Demonstrates a willingness and desire to function in a team setting and exhibits behaviors that support overall company goals and objectives.  
•    Actively participates on improvement teams, projects, and safety programs as well as follows and upholds the Eastman Team principles.
 

Qualifications

MINIMUM:  
•    B.S. Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
•    At least 5 years experience in various aspects of the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) process or appropriate comparable experience. 
•    Excellent communication, written and verbal, interpersonal skills and team leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with multi-discipline teams. 

 


PREFERRED:
•    Understanding of the capital process, from project definition through detailed design. 
•    Proven experience and established expertise in engineering projects.
