Responsibilities:

Monitor and assist PMD Apprentices with OJL and Related Instruction training and development. Continuously evaluate OJL and supplementary training programs and recommend improvements to leadership. Identify and address knowledge and skill improvement opportunities for all PMD personnel. Serve as the point of contact and records custodian for all PMD training and procedures. Assist Maintenance Change Specialist with Continuous Improvement initiatives and implementation.

Time: Daily Workforce scanning, TimeWeb time allocation to projects, on-call may be required, turnaround support may be required.

Travel: Some travel to colleges and schools and must be able to acquire a drive-in pass for daily plant travel 

 

Qualifications:

 

Minimum:   

Must satisfy the minimum requirements of the job description. Also consider how this requirement can be proven, interviewed, or tested before including.  

High School Diploma/GED 

  • Associate Degree Industrial Maintenance or related program OR Four Years Military Service 
  • Completion of General Maintenance Mechanic Apprenticeship (For internal applicants) 
  • Five Years of experience in heavy industrial mechanical maintenance or related field   
  • Outstanding communication, coordination & team leadership skills 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel) 
  • Ability to effectively lead meetings and deliver presentations 

 

Preferred: 

  • Previous experience training, teaching, mentoring and coaching in an industrial and/or professional environment 
  • Experience designing and implementing processes, procedures, and/or training materials  
  • Familiarity with CMMS (SAP, AssetView, Vizya, etc.) 

 

Physical Requirements:
Physical requirements include, but may not be limited to, 

  • Performing shop and field observations 
  • Performing training indoors and in the field 
  • Standing  
  • Walking 
  • Climbing stairs and ladders 
  • Use various hand tools and some specialty tools 
  • Comprehend and follow instructions 
  • Execute actions and tasks with minimal supervision
