Materials Handler

Responsibilities

• Works under the general supervision of a team manager
• Responsible for loading finished product into tank cars and trucks to be shipped to customers
• Responsible for unloading raw materials arriving at the plant
• Responsible for preparing orders for shipment
• Responsible for routine housekeeping/safety/environmental inspections
• Responsible for preparing and permitting jobs for maintenance
• Responsible for monitoring and proper operation of tanks
  Materials Handling operators routinely:
• Climb ladders and tank cars/trucks,
• Walk on catwalks,
• Open and close valves,
• Clean and inspect tanks.
• This Materials Handling posting is for a position that follows the TXO shift schedule to provide 24-hr / 7 day per week coverage.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma Must be at least 18 years of age 
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States 
• Must have a valid state motor vehicle driver's license 

Minimum WorkKeys scores of: 

• Applied Math – Operator 5 
• Graphic Literacy – Operator 4 
• Workplace Documents – Operator 5 
• Applied Technology - no minimum required, but scores are still a factor and reviewed by hiring managers
• Successful completion of Select Assessment ® for Manufacturing administered by Talogy
