Description
This position will provide quality assurance (QA) support for products produced in at the Longview, TX Eastman site. Managing multiple projects is expected in this assignment.
Responsibilities
- Supporting a system to release or reject raw materials, intermediates, packaging and labeling materials.
- Approving specifications, procedures, and test methods.
- Approving changes that potentially affect intermediate or final product quality.
- Coordinating stability programs
- Interacting with customers including complaint investigation and customer audits.
- Participating in and performing internal Eastman site audits.
- Participating in and performing audits at Eastman supplier and service provider sites.
- Ensuring that personnel are effectively trained quality procedures including delivering training.
Qualifications
- Required: B.S. in Engineering, Chemistry, or related science degree, or relevant experience
- Ability to understand manufacturing processes and quality systems.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to implemen chemical requirements in various environments.
- Project management skills.
- Willingness to spend extra effort as needed to meet project schedules.
- Willingness to travel as needed (typically less than 15% of the time).
- Experience with Microsoft Windows and Office programs.
- Experience in Quality Assurance (desired)
