We have internships and temporary part-time roles and Internships that could lead to securing a  career at Eastman.   We are looking for individuals who have strong computer software and interpersonal skills to readily apply in supporting business needs.  This is a great opportunity for individuals who are currently pursuing there bachelor's degree in business and hope to work part-time or internships in areas that compliment their degree plan.  This is also a great opportunity for experienced individuals who want to keep skills sharp by staying in the workforce but not committing to a full time schedule. 

The individual who fills this role will not be eligible for benefits.  Work schedules may vary from a 40-hour work week at times, or may be intermittent or reduced schedule based on business needs.  Performance in this role will influence potential  recommendation to potential regular full time administrative roles at our Longview, Texas site.

Job Description:  

Administrative  positions will perform a variety of duties such as:

  • Perform a variety of  tasks to support administrative processes
  • Knowledge and support of Microsoft Office
  • Power BI reporting
  • Knowledge and use of general office equipment
  • Use computers to access procedures and other information and to retrieve data
  • Understand and follow written or verbal instructions
  • Follow all safety, environmental and company rules and policies
  • Prepare electronic and written correspondence and reports
  • Update and develop a variety of charts, graphs, and measures
  • Manage Outlook e-mail and calendars
  • Schedule and issue Outlook meeting notices
  • Prepare and update PowerPoint presentations
  • Learn and update a variety of internal company computer applications
  • Inventory and order area supplies
  • Initiate and manage SAP Purchase Requisitions as needed
  • Coordinate personnel changes by updating SAP information, organization charts, crew rosters, phone lists, and other reference documents
  • Make business travel arrangements for staff and prepare expense reimbursement requests as needed
  • Plan, organize, order food, if needed, for lunch meetings and employee celebrations
  • Coordinate revisions and updating to area procedures
  • Develop, maintain and update area SharePoint sites
  • Office location may be in administrative or manufacturing areas of plant site

 

Skills needed are:

  • Highly proficient computer and software knowledge (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Power BI)
  • Be detail-oriented and possess strong proofreading skills
  • Have excellent oral, written, listening, and networking communication skills
  • Have excellent follow-through and follow-up skills
  • Able to maintain confidentiality
  • Show initiative (make good use of time and resources)
  • Capable of prioritizing work effectively and able to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Proactive in scheduling, anticipating questions and providing information
  • Patient and pleasant with others; service-oriented
  • Be a team player
  • Be willing to work varied schedules and overtime according to business needs
  • Respect and maintain confidentiality of personal and sensitive information

 

Qualifications Required:

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • If you have less than five years experience, please upload official high school or GED transcript.
  • If you have a college degree or coursework you would like us to consider, please attach transcripts.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be proficient in  Microsoft Office software
  • Must have a minimum of three years directly related experience or an equivalent related degree
