The Logistics Financial Analyst is responsible for providing analysis and communicating results of the Distribution Cost and developing and communicating Distribution Cost forecasts.  The analyst is also responsible for a thorough analysis of the Distribution Cost for the Cost Structured Plan and Strategic Quantification exercises as well as supporting projects as they relate to distribution costs.

• Provide distribution cost analysis for Eastman by interfacing with Eastman Supply Chain Execution, Business Organizations, operating units, Finance, and Accounting.
• Develop, analyze, and communicate the Distribution Cost forecast for assigned businesses (global scope).  Deliver the logistics cost analysis package for monthly, quarterly and annual business reporting.            
• Develop a detailed understanding of Distribution Cost components, in order to develop thorough analysis of distribution cost data, to provide cost/service answers, and interface effectively with the appropriate personnel.          
• Thoroughly investigate data, and synthesize data into conclusions and recommendations, with great attention to precision and detail.                        
• Proactively and constructively research questionable distribution cost areas, provide explanations and document and communicate before it causes concern in the Business Organization (BO).       
• Work with Logistics Procurement to analyze logistics cost and market information, including benchmarking and cost forecasting for all modes of transportation utilized by Eastman.
• Develop the annual cost structure plan, for all distribution cost categories at appropriate BO/Business Unit Group (BUG) level and communicate the findings to the business team.                         
• Develop the distribution cost portion for assigned BO/BUG's for the corporate strategic quantification process. Communicate findings and rationale to appropriate personnel.
• Participate actively as a member of project teams/task forces appointed to study and resolve specific decision situations; may serve as leader of such a group.
• Identify areas for cost reduction/profit improvement and make recommendations regarding methods of achievement.


• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field
• An MBA or MAC is also desirable
• Advanced Excel Skills
• Proficient PowerPoint, Word
• Financial Modeling, Automation Software, and SAP Software Experience required
