Account Manager, AMI, Malaysia
Responsibilities
POSITION PURPOSE
This role is responsible for Advanced Material Interlayers (AMI) Architectural business success in SE Asia + Taiwan. He/she will be responsible for:
• developing an effective management plan for the key Architectural glass (processor) accounts in SE Asia + Taiwan
• working with Business Development and Tech Service team to maintain existing commercial agreements with these customers and actively looking for areas to develop new business opportunities.
• engaging across the entire value-chain and key influencers to increase awareness, generate new market demand, and identify new market needs which enable an expansion of the laminated architectural glass market.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Account Management
• Develop and implement business and sales strategies for achieving long-term sustainable and profitable growth in SE Asia + Taiwan through the Architectural glass segment
• Manage and drive short-term P&L performance within SE Asia + Taiwan through prioritization of business activities and evaluation of market opportunities vs. business needs
• Develop the Territory Management Plan and resources plan required to achieve the annual business objectives in the strategic architecture glass accounts
• Establish relationships with key decision makers of strategic accounts in SE Asia + Taiwan
• Collaborate with other Account Managers in the region and within the Business Unit to share best practices and optimize the total business results
• Provide regular status updates regarding business and sales performance and strategy implementation – using Opportunity Management as the tool to drive specific projects
• Establish relationships and contacts with key downstream players (Architects, Façade Consultants, Developers etc) to influence/drive product adoption into projects/platforms.
Strategy and Segment Plans
• Gather insights and market trends on the SE Asia + Taiwan Architectural Glass market
• Develop strategic plan needed to support SE Asia + Taiwan growth opportunities in the next 2-5 years
• Work with internal teams to assess options and recommend/implement a path forward for both tactical and strategic choices for SE Asia + Taiwan Architectural glass market
Key Performance Indicators
• The achievement of SE Asia + Taiwan market growth versus market and budget aligned with regional plan
• Generation of a series of opportunities wins for adoption of high performance products in the laminated architectural glass segment
• Develop effective Territory Management Plan which includes contract planning, execution and accurate rolling forecast
• Develop clear market/segment strategy based on market and customer understanding – input to the Regional and Global Architectural Market Segment plans
• Market penetration of new products vs. expected targets
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENT(INCLUDING EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE)
Education and Experiences
• 5~10 years of working experience in Architectural segment.
• Experience in Architectural glass application is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and influence key decision makers – internally and/or externally
• Bachelor’s degree or higher required
• Experience working for multinationals (MNC’s) with appreciation of matrix organizational structure is a plus
• Demonstrated track record in key account management experience and engagement to influence specification and Discovery is a plus

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
• This job will require travel, most of which will be within SE Asia and Taiwan while attendance to some regional meetings will be periodically required
• Teleconferences outside of normal business hours are required.
